The English version of “Dragon Ball Daima” is currently airing fresh episodes weekly, with Stephanie Nadolny reprising her role as the voice of Little Goku after an almost 15-year hiatus. This year marks the anime’s return as a tribute to the 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s iconic manga, which initially premiered in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The series offers a unique narrative never explored before within the franchise, featuring fresh characters and designs by Toriyama himself as Goku embarks on an exciting new journey through the Demon Realm.
Among the numerous significant changes that began with the anime “Dragon Ball Daima,” one notable event was that a new wish granted through the Dragon Balls transformed Goku and the entire Z Fighter team into children. With the need to navigate the Demon Realm to defeat Supreme Demon King Gomah, rescue Dende, and regain their adult forms, this new anime has unveiled a fresh voice cast for these miniature iterations of beloved characters. Notably, Stephanie Naldony, who previously voiced Kid Goku and Gohan in “Dragon Ball” before “Dragon Ball Z Kai,” has been reintroduced to lend her voice to Goku’s child version. Who Is Dragon Ball Daima’s New Kid Goku Voice Actor?
Stephanie Naldony is known for voicing Kid Goku and Gohan in the English dubbed versions of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT by Funimation and ADV Films. Her last performance was as Gohan in Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo, which came out in 2009. Since then, Colleen Clinkenbeard has taken over as the voice for Gohan in Dragon Ball Z Kai and other subsequent releases. It’s been a while since you heard Naldony as the voice for this young Goku, making it a fun throwback!
Last year, it was revealed that Naldony would resume his role as Goku’s voice actor, and he expressed his feelings by saying, “I feel incredibly privileged to lend my voice to Goku once more, and the new storyline for Dragon Ball DAIMA promises thrilling journeys that fans of all ages will find captivating.” Since it’s been established that Dragon Ball Daima will pay tribute to the entire Dragon Ball series in this fresh installment, having Naldony at the helm of this dubbed adventure just seems perfectly fitting.
