The Worst Tomb Raider Game Should Play a Bit Better in PS5, PS4 Remaster

The Angel of Darkness is getting a remastered version for both PS5 and PS4 players. This collection will release next month, and according to a recent post on the Tomb Raider website, the updated experience should be less frustrating than its original release on the PS2.

Asyr is focusing on improving and upgrading the game, as well as reinstating previously removed content. To start with, the control scheme employed in the initial remastered Tomb Raider versions has returned (with tank controls also available as an option), making Lara Croft easier to maneuver and more responsive. This update allows for a fully rotatable camera, jumping in the direction the camera is facing, shooting while airborne, executing consecutive jumps, and shooting around corners during stealth mode.

With regards to playing as Kurtis, he now possesses the ability to employ his Chirugai and summon a psychic shield for self-protection. Additionally, he can sprint much like Lara Croft, and stealthily shoot from around corners. Notably, an area in the PS2 game that was previously unfinished, specifically the Parisian Back Streets training area, has been completely restored to assist you in mastering the commando crawl skill without resorting to glitches to access it.

Lastly, Lara and Kurtis’ voice lines are now functioning again, Von Croy’s cane is now accessible in your inventory as a hidden item, and Daniel Rennes’ pawnshop stocks firearms and weapon upgrades. For additional details, check out our site.
