Dark Theory Revealed: Gi-hun’s Fate in Squid Game Season 3 Will Shock You!

Actor Lee Seo-hwan, famous for his role in Squid Game, shares a grim hypothesis about the upcoming installment of the Netflix phenomenon following Gi-hun’s (Lee Jung-jae) heartbreaking setback in the Season 2 conclusion.

In the second part of the South Korean thriller series, the previous Squid Game winner returned to the sinister competition with the intention of avenging those responsible. However, his plans were foiled by Player 001, also known as The Front Man, portrayed by Lee Byung-hun.

In the last and climactic episode of season 2, a planned uprising by Gi-hun culminates in violent suppression at the hands of Squid Game guards, who tragically kill his friend Jung-bae (portrayed by Seo-hwan) right before him.

As both a viewer and a fan, I haven’t got any insights into season 3 yet, but I believe there might be three potential scenarios,” he started.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I’d rephrase it as follows: “Initially, Gi-hun might lose all hope, and then his anger could intensify. However, there’s another scenario where he doesn’t just get angry; instead, he becomes determined to take revenge on the players themselves, rather than those who created the game.

So far, Gi-hun has strived diligently to ensure the survival of as many players as he can. Notably, during the game of Red Light, Green Light, he leveraged his past experiences to create a tactic that skillfully dodged the menacing targeting robots.

On the other hand, not all participants have embraced Gi-hun’s actions, as characters like Thanos (Choi Seung-hyun) resist his attempts to halt the violence. Instead, they persist in chasing wealth that promises to alleviate their overwhelming financial burdens.

According to Seo-hwan, if he were Jung-bae, he believes it would be extremely sad to witness Gi-hun becoming vengeful and bitter towards the other players.

In seasons 1 and 2 of Squid Game, the actor portrayed Gi-hun’s childhood friend and longtime gambling companion, Seo-hwan. The haunting ending of the recent episodes sees Seo-hwan’s tragic death serving as a somber conclusion.
