The long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 is nearly here, promising a surge of brand-new first-party games from Nintendo – an exciting prospect for fans. However, surprisingly, a reputable source suggests that even before the release of the new console, Nintendo might still be working on another significant game for the existing Switch.

A trusted source within Brazil’s gaming industry has stated on his O X do Controle podcast and in subsequent posts on the Famiboards forums that there will be one more significant game released for the current Nintendo Switch. This upcoming title is said to belong to a somewhat lesser-known series, and it won’t be a remastered version, as claimed.

It’s been hinted that along with the upcoming Switch 2 Direct in April, Nintendo may also hold a separate event focused on the original Switch in February. This could potentially be the venue for revealing the enigmatic game that has been rumored, assuming it actually exists.

This year, Nintendo is set to release three games exclusively for the Nintendo Switch: “Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition,” “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond,” and “Pokemon Legends: Z-A.” Last week, “Donkey Kong Country Returns HD” was launched on the platform.
