In October, Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear Strive welcomed its first Season Pass 4 DLC character, Queen Dizzy. However, contrary to initial plans, the next fighter, Venom, will not debut in early 2025 but rather will enter the game roster towards the end of March, following the Arc World Tour Finals 2024 (spanning from March 21st to March 23rd).
Concerning the delay, producer Ken Miyauchi mentioned that it was necessary to ensure the highest quality for the character, rather than rushing things up. Fortunately, this has not impacted the launch of upcoming DLC characters such as Unika from the upcoming “Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers” anime and Lucy from “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”. As previously announced, Unika is scheduled for Spring release, while Lucy is still on track for Summer.
In addition to enhancing Venom, the development crew is also working on incorporating fresh Training Mode functions and upgrading Network Mode. Keep an eye out for further information about their specifics and the dates they will be launched.
The fighting game titled “Guilty Gear Strive” can be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. Starting from the 23rd of January, it will also be accessible on the Nintendo Switch.
