Robert De Niro stars in high-octane look at Netflix’s Zero Day

In the story, Angelica Bassett’s current president, Evelyn Mitchell, invites Robert De Niro’s character, the esteemed ex-US president George Mullen, to lead the Zero Day Commission. The commission’s mission is to identify and bring to justice those responsible for the attack.

He’s granted extensive authority, which critics label as a violation of civil rights, promptly facing criticism from the media, who imply that he may be hiding personal issues or harboring some hidden secrets.

In the thrilling conclusion of the trailer, Mitchell can be heard warning, “If people discover just how far-reaching this situation truly is, I’m not sure we’ll make it through.

In February, a six-part miniseries will debut, featuring Jesse Plemons, Lizzy Caplan, Connie Britton, Joan Allen, Matthew Modine, Bill Camp, Dan Stevens, McKinley Belcher III, Gaby Hoffmann, Clark Gregg, and Mark Ivanir as its stars.

The show, titled “Zero Day,” was jointly developed by Eric Newman and Noah Oppenheim. In a previous conversation with Netflix TUDUM, Newman explained that the story revolves around the consequences of a massive cyberattack which claims thousands of lives and potentially plunges a nation teetering on the brink into chaos.

The series additionally explores the price tag associated with wielding such immense responsibilities, delving into its impact on individuals and their households.
