In the game “Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl,” there are numerous distinctive weapons, many of which are enhanced or high-performance versions of their original counterparts. One such exceptional weapon is the Texan, a top-tier shotgun that stands out due to its rapid fire rate and impressive damage. This weapon can be discovered in one of the later game areas known as Jupiter. Consequently, you’ll either obtain this weapon towards the end of your gaming journey, or you can explore Jupiter early by following the “Stalker 2” Pripyat guide.
How to Get the Unique Texan Shotgun in Stalker 2
In the game Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, set in the Jupiter region, players can discover a distinctive Texan shotgun at the derelict Science Campus. This site is south of the Pripyat-1 Checkpoint Point of Interest and northeast of Yaniv Station base. If you’ve already been to Jupiter’s Market to acquire the Rhino revolver, this unique gun is conveniently located nearby, allowing you to obtain two special weapons in a single trip.
Step into the Abandoned Research Facility and you’ll notice numerous bunkers scattered around. Most of these are locked tight, but one is open for your entry, containing the coveted Texan Shotgun. Proceed with caution as a Pseudogiant roams this zone, ready to pounce if it spots you.
Finding & Accessing the Bunker in the Abandoned Science Campus
To find the bunker, proceed along the road until you reach the point of interest marker on your map. The bunker you’re looking for is situated on its western side. Once you spot an open door, it will lead you into one of the underground shelters.
After entering the bunker, continue along its curving passageways and make a left turn to reach the lab area within the complex.
Getting the Unique Texan Shotgun & Its Stats
Upon entering the lab, look to your right to find a Texan shotgun resting on a table along with some ammunition. Grab the Texan and any other useful supplies or consumables found within the bunker. Don’t forget to search the rest of the bunker for additional lootable items hidden throughout.
As a gamer, I can vouch that the Texan packs quite a punch in Stalker 2, dishing out maximum damage and firing almost as rapidly as the Saiga D-12. It’s also got incredible penetration power against tough opponents sporting heavy armor or exoskeletons.
