In response to questions about a potential PS5 release for Marvel’s Wolverine this year during an interview with Variety, Insomniac Games has remained tight-lipped on the matter. The interview also covered the appointment of three new co-heads following Ted Price’s retirement from the developer and inquired about a possible 2025 release date for Marvel’s Wolverine, to which the new leaders did not provide any specific details.
The representative clarified that Chad Derzern, one of the newly appointed co-heads, declined to disclose whether the game will be released in 2025 or not. Derzern further stated: “We’ve already announced Wolverine, and we’d love to discuss more details about Wolverine, but we must maintain our composure, similar to Logan, until it’s appropriate to reveal more. Despite our eagerness, we need to keep our enthusiasm in check for now. So, that’s all we can share regarding our future projects at this moment.
Back in September 2021 at a PlayStation Showcase event, it was first unveiled that Insomniac Games had been working on a project for the PS5 for over three years. Since then, we haven’t received any official video footage or trailers. The only glimpses we’ve had of this title came from an unfortunate data leak at the developer, which resulted in early production videos being made public online.
