*Warning: Contains spoilers for all 10 episodes of The Night Agent*
You can now watch the entire second season of “The Night Agent,” with Gabriel Basso reprising his role as Peter Sutherland, embarking on a new mission to thwart a lethal assault.
In this revival, Peter gets reacquainted with Rose Larkin played by Luciane Buchanan. Together, they join forces once more to delve into a sinister plot and potentially protect not just hundreds, but possibly even thousands of people from harm.
As the season drew to a close, a fresh danger began to emerge, leaving Peter in a precarious position. But what transpired, who was Foxglove, and where does our story with Peter and Rose conclude?
Read on for everything you need to know about the ending of The Night Agent season 2.
What was Foxglove and who planned to unleash it?

The secret adversary that Peter had been combating throughout the entire season, which he hadn’t shared with Rose, was Foxglove – a covert U.S. initiative designed for producing counteragents against potential future chemical weapons.
To prepare countermeasures and create antidotes for such attacks, the government kept scientists engaged in a highly confidential project. Their primary goal was to develop these weapons, enabling them to understand the potential threats they might face.
Individuals affiliated with dictator Viktor Bala, who is imprisoned following war crime convictions by the Hague, were plotting to deploy a stockpile of weapon KX against the United Nations. Their goal was twofold: to express a defiant message and seek revenge. Among these individuals are Viktor’s son Tomás and nephew Markus.
As a film enthusiast, I found myself in a gripping scenario where both Rose and a former Foxglove scientist were apprehended by Tomás and Markus. They were compelled to concoct a fresh batch of whatever it was they had been working on before.
As Tomás began to understand the capabilities of KX, he made an attempt to prevent Markus, yet unfortunately, he was unsuccessful, and ultimately, he met his end due to being seen as disloyal.
Or,
When Tomás saw how powerful KX was, he struggled to halt Markus but failed. His actions were deemed disloyal, leading to his tragic demise.
How did Peter and Rose stop Markus?

To locate Rose and uncover details about who Foxglove’s information had been sold to, Peter made arrangements for Jacob Monroe’s associate Solomon to be released. He then met up with Solomon personally. In exchange for providing Monroe with a highly confidential United Nations document, Peter hoped to learn how to prevent KX from being exposed and save Rose.
In essence, this situation implied that I was now under Monroe’s ownership, and he could expect more requests from me in the days to come, demands I couldn’t refuse lest he disclose my secrets.
With the details at hand, Peter successfully tracked down and rescued Rose prior to pursuing Markus. Together, they were able to apprehend him when he sought refuge in Sloane’s hotel suite.
What did Jacob Monroe get from Peter?

Ultimately, it was discovered that the document given by Peter to Monroe implicated the presidential candidate, Knox, in the Foxglove program and the illegal sale of chemical weapons to Bala.
This situation allowed Monroe to disclose the document, causing Knox to withdraw from the race just before its end, thereby guaranteeing that Hagan would easily win the election.
Through this action, it was clear that Monroe was acting with Hagan’s awareness, giving Monroe substantial control over Hagan. In essence, it placed Monroe in a position where he could manipulate Hagan like a puppeteer controlling a puppet, allowing him to carry out his own desires as the president.
What happened to Noor?

By the closing of the season, after assisting Peter with his final task by securing his entry into the United Nations, Noor successfully evaded capture from the grasp of Javad, the head of security at the Iranian Mission.
As a dedicated cinephile, I skillfully orchestrated a resolution that ensured Javad would no longer pose a problem for me. By leveraging my influence and persuasion abilities, I successfully swayed the esteemed Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, Abbas, to take action against him.
Noor discussed with Abbas that his daughter was included on a list of Iranian dissidents residing outside Iran, a list that Javad planned to relentlessly pursue.
By presenting surveillance videos showing Javad attempting to approach Noor, Abbas accused him of working together with her to betray national secrets. Consequently, Javad was detained, likely to be deported back to Iran for trial and subsequent penalties.
Towards the close of the season, it came to light that Noor and her mother had been bestowed U.S. citizenship, and they now reside in Illinois.
How did the season end for Peter and Rose?

Towards the conclusion of the season, Peter chose to assume identities similar to Catherine and Night Action, as a consequence of his actions involving the theft of the document and the liberation of Solomon. This move effectively broke Monroe’s control over him.
Peter found himself in a confined space initially, but Catherine quickly freed him, disclosing the subsequent events concerning the presidential election and Knox’s withdrawal from the race.
Catherine concealed from Peter that she was privy to their scheme, instead suggesting to him that he ought to comply with Monroe’s instructions. In this manner, she was able to obtain crucial details regarding any clandestine activities involving himself or Hagan.
Prior to being incarcerated, Peter broke up with Rose and advised her to keep a distance for her own protection. Later, Rose shared with Noor that this was her intention, opting instead to concentrate on her career.
