Hit HBO Drama Series Already Renewed Before New Season’s Premiere

The critically acclaimed show “The White Lotus,” produced by HBO and recognized with Emmy and Golden Globe awards, has been approved for a fourth season. As per Variety, filming for the fourth installment is scheduled to start in 2026. At present, no information about the storyline or cast—including possible returning actors—has been disclosed. Back in November, it was reported that Mike White, the series creator and director, was brainstorming ideas for another season while working on Season 3 (as per Variety). HBO CEO Casey Bloys previously stated, “If Mike wants to continue with four seasons, he will make the fourth season.” The announcement about renewal comes before the release of Season 3, which is set to air on HBO on February 16th. Simultaneously, the eight-episode season will be accessible for streaming on Max.

For the new season of our social satire anthology, the story takes place at an exclusive Thai resort and showcases the adventures of both guests and staff throughout a single week. Notably, Natasha Rothwell will be the sole returning cast member in Season 3, assuming the role of Belinda Lindsey that she played in Season 1.

In Season 3 of The White Lotus, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, Aimee Lou Wood, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly, and Shalini Peiris will be joining Rothwell.

From its premiere in 2021, “The White Lotus” has garnered over 40 Emmy nominations and claimed 15 victories. Moreover, it bagged two Golden Globe Awards. Initially intended as a limited series, HBO swiftly changed its strategy upon the show’s massive success. Upon renewal for Season 2, “The White Lotus” held the top spot among all of the streamer’s shows. At that time, Francesca Orsi, head of drama at HBO, commented, “Mike has again crafted a classic HBO series, and it’s generating lots of buzz … [we] can’t wait to continue following him on his journey.
