On January 16, Sega submitted trademark applications for “Skies of Arcadia” and “Eternal Arcadia” in Japan, and these applications became public knowledge on January 24.
The game known as “Skies of Arcadia” in most regions, but called “Eternal Arcadia” in Japan, is a role-playing game with turn-based combat that was initially released on Dreamcast on October 5, 2000. A year later, on December 26, 2002, a more advanced version for GameCube, titled “Skies of Arcadia Legends” or “Eternal Arcadia Legends,” hit the market. Remarkably, this game hasn’t been adapted or updated for modern platforms, despite strong fan requests.
