Kit Harington and Sophie Turner’s reunion film wraps – adds another Game of Thrones star to cast

Almost six years since the finale of Game of Thrones graced our screens, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) have found themselves together again in the upcoming Gothic horror movie, The Dreadful. Excitingly, it’s been announced that production on this project has come to an end!

The movie, titled “War of the Roses” and written and directed by Natasha Kermani (known for Lucky and V/H/S/85), has been currently filmed in Cornwall as its scenic landscapes serve as an ideal backdrop.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that another actor linked to Game of Thrones has joined the cast. This is Laurence O’Fuarain, who made a brief appearance in season 5, joining Marcia Gay Harden (So Help Me Todd) and Jonathan Howard (Thor: The Dark World) on the roster.

As per the plot summary, the movie features Turner portraying Anne, a character who is living a secluded and difficult life with her mother-in-law Morwen, played by Harden.

The solitary existence these characters have known takes an ominous twist as a figure from their past, portrayed by Harington, reappears. This reemergence sparks a series of events that ultimately reshape Anne’s life forever.

The movie is slated for release by True Brit Entertainment, as their CEO Zygi Kamasa shares: “We’re thrilled to support our eighth British production within a short period, with this genuinely chilling horror film. It brings back two exceptional British actors, Kit Harrington and Sophie Turner.

He stated: “Horror movies have been doing exceptionally well at the box office lately, and we aim to broaden our influence to generate even more financially successful British horror films within the industry.”

“He mentioned that horror films are currently thriving in movie theaters, and our goal is to extend our reach to produce more commercially triumphant British-led genre movies of this kind from our industry.
