As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share that Hazelight Studios has unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for their upcoming co-op epic titled “Split Fiction“. This game promises two distinct levels:
1. A sci-fi tale penned by Mio, focusing on the intriguing concept of gravity, complete with exhilarating bike races.
2. An engaging fantasy narrative written by Zoe, where we can transform into various creatures, and there’s even a side-scrolling platforming section to explore – it’s quite a sight! You can catch a glimpse below.
Director Josef Fares describes Side Stories as unusual occurrences that take place across various levels, leading to disordered realms. These excursions encompass a space voyage, riding the Sandfish wave in the desert, and chasing after a moving train on skis. A Steam post also verifies an expedition up a mountain inhabited by Giants, and a descent down another while dodging gunfire on a snowboard.
Indeed, in the initial gameplay trailer, characters Mio and Zoe transform into pigs, shedding light on the process behind sausage production. The essence of Side Stories lies in its diversity. Once completed, these two characters will be more resolute than ever to break free from the simulation, suggesting a potential change in outcome if all stories are resolved.
Starting from March 6th, Split Fiction will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms (find the system requirements here). This game offers a unique feature similar to It Takes Two, where only one player needs to own the game for cooperative play, known as a “Friends Pass”.
