Pokemon TCG Pocket Announces New Trading Feature

As a passionate Pokémon TCG collector, I can’t contain my excitement as we’re finally getting the long-awaited trading feature in the Pokémon TCG Pocket app! This exciting update is set to roll out on January 30th, coinciding with the release of the new Space-Time Smackdown booster pack. While many have been eagerly awaiting this addition, given how trading Pokémon is such a cornerstone of both the physical and digital game experiences, some online fans have expressed mixed feelings about it.

In expectation of the upcoming feature, fans speculated that Shinedust would play a role, leading them to stockpile their dust. However, they were disappointed to discover that trading in the Pokemon TCG Pocket requires two different currencies, neither of which is Shinedust. Instead, users will need to gather Trade Hourglasses and Trade Tokens to engage in trades. It’s important to note that trades will only be allowed with Genetic Apex and Mythical Island booster packs, and card rarity will influence what can be traded. Specifically, any card with 1-4 diamonds or 1 star can be traded, but 2 star cards cannot. As more pack options become available, these are the current trading restrictions.

Although fans might not be thrilled with these restrictions, the upcoming Booster pack, Space-Time Smackdown, is certain to maintain player enthusiasm. With fresh Pokemon to gather, this addition should keep players content. Additionally, the update brings new cosmetics like binder and display boards, which add a touch of novelty.
