For quite some time, our team at egmr.ru has been sharing news about art shows primarily dedicated to the outstanding artwork from manga creators. Previously, popular anime series such as “My Hero Academia,” “Berserk,” “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure,” “Naruto,” and numerous others have held exhibitions in Japan, leaving fans in North America feeling excluded. However, this is about to change, as for the first time ever, “One Piece” is planning to revolutionize things later this year with a new art exhibit making its way to the West. This event will showcase the works of Eiichiro Oda, and while we’re yet to learn which other manga artists will be participating, we do have exciting details about this historical arrival.
Since its introduction in 1997, Eiichiro Oda has been shaping the universe of the Grand Line for One Piece. The manga artist is renowned for a legendary work ethic, dedicating countless hours and following a demanding routine to ensure that Luffy’s voyage with his Straw Hat crew remains captivating. Recently, Oda has added the role of Executive Producer for Netflix’s live-action One Piece series to his responsibilities. With the Straw Hat Pirates deep in their final saga, it is time for Oda to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
One Piece Is Sailing To The West
This autumn, the highly anticipated manga exhibit is set to reach the de Young Museum in San Francisco, California. Featuring more than seven hundred pieces created by manga artists, it’s scheduled from September this year until January 2026. Echoing this news, the official One Piece social media account confirmed that Oda will be among the leading manga artists participating in this event.
Experience the inaugural “Manga” exhibition in the Americas at the @deyoungmuseum in San Francisco from September 2025 to January 2026! Over 700 original pieces by 8 renowned manga artists will be showcased, including Oda-sensei, with many of his stunning original drawings on display!
One Piece’s Manga Continues
The animated series of One Piece is temporarily pausing its Future Island storyline and is instead revisiting a refined version of the Fishman Island Saga. It’s set to resume in April, with the manga continuing to unfold as the main characters navigate a fresh, exciting environment while approaching the conclusion. Since the anime may take a while to match the latest happenings depicted in the manga, fans should brace themselves for some epic battles that could surpass any fought within the shonen genre so far.
Previously, Eiichiro Oda hasn’t specified a date for when we could anticipate the publication of the final chapter of “One Piece”, but he has hinted at his plans for retirement. With dreams of traveling the world like the Straw Hat crew someday, the influence of “One Piece” on many people is clear.
