S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Patch Fixes Shader Compilation Crashes, Memory Leaks, and More

The video game “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl,” developed by GSC Game World, has received its first update for the year. Although it’s not a large one, it tackles several fundamental problems. These fixes include resolving crashes and freezing that occur during shader compilation, addressing memory leaks in Rostok, and improving performance issues experienced with saves that have extended playtimes, particularly when shooting or aiming.

The programmer shared that the shader compilation glitch was one of the toughest challenges for the team and requested those still experiencing it to reach out to customer service. Xbox gamers can look forward to a resolution for an issue leading to deleted save files. Lastly, a crash linked to UI animations has been resolved.
