Joey King is recovering after a cooking accident.
Actress from “The Kissing Booth” posted a peek at the facial injuries caused by an oil spatter incident, yet she remains optimistic and upbeat about the situation.
On January 28th, a collection of images was shared to Instagram Story by the 25-year-old woman, who married Steven Piet in 2023. These pictures illustrated the different healing phases of the burns on her chin and neck. In one photo, where the burns were treated with ointment, Joey playfully flashed a peace sign using her hand while puckering her lips.
She mentioned in her post a few days back that she accidentally burned herself while tossing shallots into a heated oil pan. To make it more amusing, she included the comment, ‘My mom dislikes cooking even more now.’ This is because she shared her mishap with her.
However, it’s worth noting that Joey doesn’t seem to have inherited that characteristic from her mother. Instead, she expressed great enthusiasm for it during a cooking segment on The Drew Barrymore Show.
She shared with Drew Barrymore during their 2022 meeting that her partner is an exceptional chef. He sparked her interest in cooking, and once she began, she found herself unable to stop.
She stated, “I find cooking delightful. It’s enjoyable, it’s therapeutic, and I appreciate the time it requires. Furthermore, I enjoy cooking because I relish eating the dishes I prepare.
Despite the fact that her passion for cooking temporarily affects her appearance, it’s clear that Joey isn’t unfamiliar with sporting a different style. Just last week, the star of Family Affair unveiled a freshly bleached facial characteristic.
She mentioned that she had colored her eyebrows around a week back, and she compared their previous pale color to the distinctive mustache of the character, the Lorax, in a TikTok video posted on January 16th.
And while Joey declared, “I kind of love it,” her mom Jamie King couldn’t relate.
Joey said, “I ran into my mom two days ago and she remarked, ‘I find it hard to look at you. You seem so strange,'” Joey replied. “To which I responded, ‘Mom, that’s the idea. The goal is to experiment with something new. I’ll go back to my original color soon, but for now, could you please let me enjoy this change?’
