As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! Resolution Games, in partnership with Wizards of the Coast, has unveiled “Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked“. This upcoming strategy game is going to be a blend of the immersive action role-playing system from Demeo and the iconic world of Dungeons & Dragons. It’s designed for console, PC, and extended reality platforms, but we don’t have a release date just yet. Stay tuned for more details!
In a press statement, Eugene Evans, senior vice president of digital strategy and licensing at Wizards of the Coast, explained that by utilizing the capabilities of the Demeo system, Resolution Games is offering a unique twist on Dungeons & Dragons. This focus is on rapid turn-based combat and simple, accessible gameplay mechanics. Following this trend, Hasbro’s new game Battlemarked aligns with their strategy to capitalize on their vast library of top-tier intellectual property by developing digital games through licensing agreements and in-house studio production. By collaborating with leading developers in the industry, Hasbro aims to provide fresh gaming experiences across all platforms that cater to their fans’ enjoyment.
Battlemarked, we’re expanding that appeal even more by tailoring the classes, actions, and lore of D&D to this system, offering fresh adventures and an entirely new experience designed specifically with D&D in mind.
Here is an overview of the game, via Resolution Games:
Prepare your team and brace yourself for an extraordinary voyage within the realm of Dungeons & Dragons! Invite your companions for an experience that combines the timeless thrill of Dungeons & Dragons with swift, strategic combat. Constructed upon the acclaimed action-RPG system of Demeo, Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked promises a sense of heroism for both novice Dungeons & Dragons enthusiasts and veteran sorcerers and warriors alike.
Demeo, teaming up with Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, offers a system that emphasizes strategic discussions among players instead of roleplay, fostering conversations centered around tactics and decision-making. This game supports up to four players collaborating across various platforms and will offer two story-driven campaigns at launch, with further campaigns set in diverse Dungeons & Dragons settings as downloadable content down the line. It’s coming to PC, consoles, and extended reality devices.
