The poster also indicates that she was last spotted wearing a hooded jacket near Hawkins High School on June 13, 1986. The town is now searching for her.

The fifth season will unfold roughly a year after Eleven’s reported disappearance in March 1986, which is the closing timeframe for the fourth season. To add to the mystery, Netflix previously hinted in a teaser released in November that the fifth season is set in the autumn of 1987.

Instead of hurrying through the process, it appears that they are reducing the number of scenes in the final season.
