Silas Merritt “Uncle Si” Robertson is recovering after a health scare.
The main character from “Duck Dynasty,” who will appear in the series’ forthcoming revival, is recovering well following a few days in the hospital due to an accident during duck hunting.
Justin Martin shared on Si’s “Duck Call Room” podcast that they went duck hunting over the weekend, up in Arkansas. He added with a chuckle, “It was just like old Silas Robertson, always in a rush to leave the boat – this time, he even took a spill!
Justin made clear that not only he but also John Godwin had spent the previous weekend relaxing, while Si was merely thrilled about the meal following a fruitful morning of duck hunting in the morning.
Instead of waiting for us to shift the props and guns, he decided to stride forward at length. However, he stumbled during this action and ended up on his oxygen machine. Yet, he quickly regained his footing. It seems that he didn’t want anyone to notice his fall, but the issue is now you’re caked in mud due to it.
Justin shared that following the incident, Si insisted he was alright, but his behavior became unusual. Later on, family acquaintance Philip McMillian, who didn’t accompany them on the duck hunting excursion, disclosed what had transpired with Si. He mentioned that the next day, Si went to the hospital because his “oxygen levels were significantly low.
Philip described the situation as follows: “Upon entering, I found him alone, with an eerie quietness in his room. I asked what was happening, expecting a jovial response, but instead he confided, ‘I’m in a great deal of discomfort.’
Philip additionally mentioned that the doctor conveyed that Si declined pain medication. He explained that he led the doctor down the hallway and said, “If he refuses like this, it actually means he agrees, so administer some pain medication for him.
In the Duck Call Room, the host mentioned that Si expressed relief after feeling better, later saying, “I’m really grateful the doctor prescribed me some pain medication. I’ve been in discomfort for the past three days.
Following the completion of blood tests and examinations, it was found that Si experienced a brief episode of anxiety, or “mini panic attack,” leading to significantly decreased oxygen levels in his body. Subsequently, he was administered medication and discharged to recuperate at home.
And once he was in the clear, Phillip detailed that Si immediately requested to call Justin.
Justin was touched by the gestured adding, “FaceTiming Si was something I didn’t know I needed.”
