Dragon Ball Daima Reveals Shocking Super Connection in New Episode

It’s possible that “Dragon Ball Daima” is set earlier in the timeline than “Dragon Ball Super,” but this doesn’t exclude the fact that the sequel to “Dragon Ball Z” still contains references to the more recent shonen series. With the latest adaptation of the anime unveiling fresh insights into the universe of the Z-Fighters, a subtle nod from the newest “Super” installment has been identified by fans. As one of the major villains in the new series undergoes a significant power boost, it’s hard for anime enthusiasts not to notice a formidable adversary who was a key player during the Tournament of Power and played a part in introducing Goku to his Ultra Instinct transformation.

Among the most potent artifacts hailing from the Demon Realm is the Malevolent Third Eye, an heirloom that’s been handed down from one Demon Lord to another. Due to the devious maneuvers of Dabura in the shadows, this artifact went missing, leaving the new ruler Gomah in a predicament. In an unexpected twist, it was discovered that Hybis, an ally of Z-Fighter and a denizen of the Demon Realm, had been carrying the Third Eye on his belt all along. Unfortunately for everyone involved, Gomah has since acquired this mystical artifact, and with it, transformed into a form reminiscent of Jiren.

Gomah Joins The Pride Troopers (Sort of)

Prior to observing Gomah’s latest change, the Z-Fighters swiftly overpower the Gendarmerie, which is akin to Frieza’s Ginyu Force from the Demon Realm. Vegeta hardly moved a muscle in ensuring their defeat, and these anime heroes then entered the current Demon Lord’s territory. Thankfully, Goku and his team successfully rescue Dende from Degesu, the Supreme Kai of the Demon Realm.

Conversely, it’s due to Hybis’ imprudent trade in the previous chapter – exchanging his belt for a preposterous hat without realizing the power he was relinquishing – that Gomah obtains the Evil Third Eye. Laughably trying to release the eye from the belt, the latest episode concludes with Gomah undergoing a transformation into a significantly larger version of himself. Given the color scheme and design of Gomah’s attire, viewers find themselves likening his new form to that of Jiren, as depicted in the images provided below.

Will Jiren Appear In Daima?

According to reports, the anime “Dragon Ball Daima” is nearing its end with only a few episodes remaining. Since the storyline occurs before Beerus and Whis arrive on Earth, it’s extremely improbable for Jiren to make an appearance. However, considering the unexpected events that have transpired in the series thus far, anything could happen. As for Gomah, despite his new form resembling a Pride Trooper, it seems highly unlikely that his power level will be on par with what we’ve seen so far.

Regarding the Dragon Ball Super anime, no updates have been given about its return after the release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Although a new one-shot manga is due out next month, marking the first publication since creator Akira Toriyama’s passing, the fate of the anime remains uncertain. With two arcs – Moro and Granolah – still unanimated, there are numerous potential fights that could be entertainingly adapted for television in the future.
