Last month, leaker Nate the Hate hinted that a presentation would occur in February without specifying the exact date. However, in a recent tweet, Nate seems to suggest that we might have a better idea soon. In response to a question about whether the presentation will be held early, mid, or late February, Nate replied, “what does your gut feeling tell you?
From what Nate hints, it appears the leaker might be referring to an event happening around Valentine’s Day week. Just like any unconfirmed report, readers need to approach this with caution until Sony officially says something about it. If a presentation is indeed imminent, we may expect Sony to make some announcement in the coming days. Recently, Nate the Hate has gained more credibility due to his accurate prediction of the Nintendo Switch 2’s reveal date. We’ll see if his information holds up this time around, but let’s hope it turns out to be true.
At present, Sony’s strategies for the year 2025 are somewhat unclear. A State of Play broadcast could provide a great deal more insight into what lies ahead, such as new first-party games or third-party titles slated for the platform. Historically, these presentations have offered glimpses of both, making them worth tuning in to even for Nintendo and Xbox fans. Last year’s State of Play in January 2024 unveiled the upcoming game “Sonic x Shadow Generations“, which eventually launched on PS4 and PS5, as well as Xbox and Switch.

With the successful remake of Silent Hill 2 on PS5, maybe Konami will finally reveal more details. Another intriguing possibility is a Venom game from Insomniac Games. While a spin-off from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was rumored back in 2023, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
