On July 29, 2015, Windows 10 was introduced as the successor to Microsoft’s earlier operating system, Windows 8.1. Exactly ten years later, on October 14, 2025, Microsoft will discontinue its support for Windows 10 PCs (End of Life). This means no more security fixes or software updates through Windows Update after this date. The software may still work beyond this point, but to receive Microsoft-verified support and access to security updates until October 2028, you’ll need to pay for their Extended Security Updates (ESU) service.
