Miley Cyrus is making Billy Ray Cyrus proud, even from afar.
At the 2025 Grammy Awards, the artist famous for “Flowers” earned her third Grammy in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category, sharing it with Beyoncé for their song “II Most Wanted”. Amidst a family feud, her father posted on social media to celebrate the duo’s impressive win.
Kudos to @mileycyrus and @beyonce for their justly awarded Grammys! Here’s a graphic of them on my February 2 Instagram post. I couldn’t be more thrilled!!!
While she didn’t comment on the post, Miley did “like” it.
The former Hannah Montana star, who hasn’t yet publicly responded to brother Trace Cyrus’ worrying message about their father, was present at the 67th awards event, accompanied by her mother Tish Cyrus and boyfriend Maxx Morando.
At the event, Miley handed out the Record of the Year award – an accolade she received among two Grammys she won last year for “Flowers” – and cheered Beyoncé with a shout-out during her victory celebration.
As the evening unfolded, a 32-year-old exclaimed, “Evening, Grammys!” as she confidently stepped onto the stage wearing a unique Alaia dress. She then gestured towards the audience and declared triumphantly, “Beyoncé, we’ve won!” In a video shared on X (previously known as Twitter), Beyoncé, famously recognized for her song “Texas Hold ‘Em,” was seen beaming and waving at her collaborator, none other than Alicia Keys.
A short while later, when Miley revealed the winner by opening the envelope, she playfully quipped, “Even if it’s not you, Beyoncé, I might still claim it is.” (Spoiler: Kendrick Lamar won for “Not Like Us. View all the winners here.)
On music’s grandest evening, the actress from The Last Song appeared alongside Tish, emphasizing their strong bond as mothers and daughters. This performance served as a symbolic completion of Miley’s award-winning song, “II Most Wanted,” marking a full-circle moment in her career.
She shared with W Magazine back in June that she penned the song approximately two and a half years prior. Her mother has always expressed her deep affection for that song, so when Beyoncé contacted her regarding music, she immediately thought of it as it perfectly embodies their unique bond.
Miley explained, “‘We don’t need to label ourselves as ‘country’; we already are. We’ve always been country,’ I told her. ‘Given that you hail from Texas and I am from Tennessee, so much of our essence will be reflected in this song.’ Writing a tune for Beyoncé instead of just singing it was a long-held dream come true.

Title Suggestion for “Texas Hold ‘Em”: “Texas Poker Game” by Collective Authors (Brian Bates, Beyoncé, Elizabeth Lowell Boland, Megan Bulow, Nate Ferraro, and Raphael Saadiq)
The suggested title aims to keep the essence of the original title while making it more accessible for a wider audience. The use of “Texas Poker Game” instead of “Texas Hold ‘Em” simplifies the title, making it easier to understand for those unfamiliar with poker terminology. Additionally, listing the collective authors in the title helps clarify the collaborative nature of the work.
