Undead Unluck Expands With New Story After Finale

2025 marks some significant changes for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and one of those alterations brought about the conclusion of “Undead Unluck” after five thrilling years. This was one of the major endings we’ve seen this year, but fear not, fellow fans! The mastermind behind this captivating tale isn’t letting it rest in peace just yet. New adventures for our undead duo are brewing, offering a fresh continuation to the story we’ve grown to love. So, while I might be shedding a tear as I bid farewell to “Undead Unluck,” I’m also eagerly anticipating these upcoming chapters!

In a fresh update from Yoshifumi Tozuka, the creator of Undead Unluck, posted on the series’ official social media platform, it has been announced that the final two volumes of the manga will be released in Japan starting April. Additionally, Tozuka also revealed that the story will resume for a fresh chapter in the last volume of the manga itself. This development aligns with the pattern observed in many other concluding chapters of Shonen Jump magazine’s series, making this news particularly exciting for fans of Undead Unluck.

Last week’s mosaic solution was revealed: “Andera Totsuka Sensei’s bonus comic arrives”

Thank you for your continued readership! The story with an unbeatable tragic ending was made possible thanks to your support.

There are still more untold stories for Andera, but…

The final 27th volume of the recorded episodes in the 26th manga will be released in April.

Undead Unluck to Return With New Story After Finale

Tozuka expressed gratitude to fans (as translated by David Evelyn) in a special message, saying “Thanks for making it through to the end of the story!” However, instead of expressing all his thanks now, he plans to save them for the graphic novel release. He mentioned that there will be bonus manga included in the final volume and he’s not quite ready to celebrate finishing the final chapter just yet. So, he decided to hold off on any big celebrations and instead promises an afterword or something similar later on. He encourages everyone to wait patiently for the graphic novels to come out!

After a run of five years, the manga “Undead Unluck” wrapped up its story in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, completing 239 chapters. The series concluded with Andy and Fuuko embarking on their joint future, but much like recent endings of popular titles such as “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “My Hero Academia,” it features a fresh spin-off story to enrich its finale further.

What’s Next for Undead Unluck?

The manga series “Undead Unluck” has concluded, yet fresh installments are on the horizon. In addition to the new narrative arriving in the manga’s final volume when it becomes available in Japan this coming Spring, the anime adaptation of “Undead Unluck” is also preparing for a comeback soon. Instead of a complete second season as some fans anticipated, the anime will present a unique original story that expands the world of “Undead Unluck”.

At the moment of this writing, specifics about the upcoming Undead Unluck anime special are scarce, leaving us uncertain about its release date and whether original staff and actors will return. As the series gears up for a revival, its prospects seem promising given that the manga has concluded too. If a second season does materialize, there’s an obvious path for the adaptation to follow, so let’s hope David Production decides to resume production at some point in the future.
