EastEnders airs distressing new scenes for Phil Mitchell in early iPlayer release

In the most recent tense episode of EastEnders, it seemed that Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) started experiencing troubling visions.

For several months, the cherished character has been battling a delicate state of mind, and on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, we saw Phil contemplating taking his life in the garage.

However, after experiencing a shift in feelings, Phil stumbled into the pit at The Arches – a location where he had previously lost consciousness on numerous unfortunate occasions.

Relative Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) discovered Phil, and together with his father, Teddy (Roland Manookian), and Billy (Perry Fenwick), they dialed for an ambulance to arrive.

Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) arrived on the scene just as Phil was being taken to hospital.

Once awake, Phil was spoken to by a concerned doctor, who urged him to talk through his troubles.

Phil declined assistance and opted to leave, brushing aside Nigel’s concerns, and eventually asking his former friend to depart angrily after a heated outburst at home.

Additionally, Phil encountered some difficulty with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who remained skeptical about Phil’s assertion that high blood pressure was the cause of his mishap and refused to accept it as truth.

Nigel planned to leave Walford, telling Sharon that Phil needed serious help.

Once more, Philip could be spotted engaged in a solitary conversation, apparently sharing thoughts with an unseen companion, expressing frustration: “I seem to be squandering my efforts.

Here, Phil appears to be addressing or communicating with his future self, young self, or possibly both, as well as his family members or loved ones, since the visions involve them.
