Celeb Kids Taking Over Fashion Week: The Next Generation of Models

The next generation of models is here—and they’re more familiar than you might think.

As New York Fashion Week approaches (from February 6 to February 11), it’s clear that rising models are set to shine on the catwalk. Interestingly, many of these aspiring models, not just those in New York, have well-known figures supporting them from the sidelines.

Recently, Heidi Klum’s son Henry Samuel, whom she co-parents with her former spouse Seal, walked in his first fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. Notably, he was the one to kick off the event at 19 years old.

Henry made his mom, a supermodel at 51 years old, incredibly proud. She announced that he was the one to open the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Show in Paris.

Apart from Henry, there are others who have recently embarked on their modeling journey, and Henry is not the youngest among them. For instance, Dream Kardashian, daughter of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna, stepped into the world of fashion at just 7 years old in September. During the Zeus & Lexi Kids New York Fashion Week show, Dream graced the runway, and her mother was there to support her from the front row.

Kylie Jenner, who is daughter to Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, has re-entered the fashion world following a significant break. The famous Kardashian family member made her catwalk debut in Avril Lavigne’s Abbey Dawn fashion show in 2011. More recently, she dipped her toes into modeling again, and in October, she graced the Paris Fashion Week stage for the first time, closing out the Coperni Spring/Summer 2025 show held at Disneyland Paris.

It’s true that many famous models have drawn inspiration from their parents’ experiences in the modeling industry, and for some, it has even turned into a family tradition. For instance, Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid, daughters of Yolanda Foster and Mohamed Hadid, have both thrived in the modeling world with successful careers. More recently, their older sister Alana Hadid, whose mother is Mary Butler, also joined the industry. She made her runway debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2023, followed by an appearance at New York Fashion Week the next month.

During my New York Fashion Week encounter, I shared with TopMob News that the hairstyles and makeup were outstanding. The makeup had a very natural look and there were many clip-in extensions used for the hair, which kept me seated for quite some time.
