The message points followers towards three distinct cancer support and research facilities, a move made approximately a year following Buckingham Palace’s announcement about the monarch’s illness diagnosis.

The King’s latest surgery for an enlarged prostate revealed another matter of worry, as subsequent examinations found signs of cancer. The King started a course of regular treatments today, and his doctors have suggested he temporarily step back from public engagements during this time.

Five days henceforward, the 76-year-old – who assumed the throne in September 2022 following the demise of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II – chose to share a heartfelt missive penned by himself with the general populace.
