Allison Holker is defending Ellen DeGeneres against speculations concerning her association with the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss.
Following the sad demise of Allison’s spouse, a regular on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a DJ and co-executive producer, in 2022, whispers started circulating suggesting that their bond with Ellen had weakened when the show concluded in May. Now, two years after Stephen’s untimely death at 40, Allison has clarified the situation.
The former contestant of So You Think You Can Dance expressed his discomfort in a conversation with People on February 4, stating, “I’m not fond of rumors spreading,” and added that it was unfortunate and disappointing for him to witness people attempting to involve Ellen in the situation and direct accusations towards her.
Certainly, Allison—the mother of Weslie, 16, Maddox, 8, and Zaia, 5 (her children from her late spouse)—was unequivocal in expressing that Ellen held a special place in their friendship circle.
She clarified that the rumors were false. In truth, Ellen is fantastic and has served as a pillar of support for her. Far from being detrimental, she was an inspiring figure to Stephen. Their bond was strong, and he cherished their connection deeply.
The 36-year-old continued, “What they possessed was truly unique,” he said. “I fervently wish that others might appreciate the strength of the connection that they shared, and not seek to undermine it.”
The 36-year-old commented, “They held something extraordinary,” he stated. “I sincerely hope people can recognize the power of their relationship and refrain from destroying it.
Time after time, it’s been evident that Ellen held her long-term partner very dear. In memory of him on the anniversary of his passing, she paid tribute to him by recounting some of their most treasured moments together.
She mentioned in an Instagram video from December 2023 that our last trip was to Las Vegas. We enjoyed Silk Sonic there, as we’re big fans. It was a blast belting out songs with one another, plus spending time in Vegas together was a lot of fun.
Beyond the unforgettable adventures we embarked upon, the simple, everyday moments we spent together were the ones that touched my heart most deeply as a devoted follower of our bond.
Each day following the performance, she reminisced, we’d share laughter by singing, dancing, and joking together. We’d stroll arm-in-arm towards my dressing room, which was always the first one reached. There, I’d express my love, to which he’d respond with his own affectionate sentiment, “Love you much.” He’d then move on to his own space. I yearn for those moments.
Shortly following his sad demise, Ellen honorably remembered him by compiling and sharing a collection of their cherished moments from when they worked together on the show.
Currently, I’d like to cherish and recall all the love and hilarity shared with tWitch, as Ellen expressed on Instagram at that moment, accompanied by videos spanning their years together. He was a source of endless joy in my life, and undoubtedly brought joy to you as well. I plan to share some of my most treasured moments with him. If you’d like, feel free to do the same by sharing your favorite memories.
