Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are guilty as sin when it comes to manifesting.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently acknowledged that the dance routines from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour contributed to his team’s victory in reaching the 2025 Super Bowl, where they will compete against the Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans’ Mercedes Dome on Feb. 9.

He stated during the February 3rd press conference in New Orleans, “We both enjoy bringing ideas to life, and it’s hard to argue with that reality since we’re standing here now. I’m confident whatever she was doing must have contributed positively.

In his words, regarding Taylor’s stunt, he expressed, “Given that I couldn’t physically be here to support her during those weeks, it felt as if I were present.

How did Taylor help the Chiefs win their path? During her Eras Tour stop in New Orleans in October (at the Mercedes Dome), Taylor modified the choreography for her song “Midnight Rain”. In this performance, she simulated a football pass and touchdown signal while singing the lyrics, “He never thinks of me / except when I’m on TV.” This symbolic gesture could have been interpreted as supporting the Chiefs, since their victory was often showcased on television.

After those performances, fans have speculated that the changes had an influence. As one user put it on X (previously Twitter), “Taylor Swift just mimicked Travis Kelce’s first down signal on stage and then concluded with a three-time finger kiss farewell to encourage another Super Bowl victory – you can’t make this stuff up!

Another posted, “reminder taylor did all this in nola where the superbowl is being played.”

On the media day, Travis (who expressed that Taylor’s dedication is motivating him to “mirror that intensity” during the crucial match) has previously dedicated his efforts towards realizing his aspirations. Following the Chiefs’ victory over the Buffalo Bills on January 26th, which secured their place in the Super Bowl, he confided in his mother, Donna Kelce, about his intention to reach the pinnacle of success.

He mentioned that they have a chance at achieving their third consecutive win, something historic for their team. He’s giving it everything he’s got and is willing to go the extra mile – even if it means running through a wall.

Being a big fan of Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended the performance, hoping to present her with a friendship bracelet bearing his number. Unfortunately, he was unable to do so because of her pre-performance routines.

In fact, I had crafted a special bracelet for her, but alas, our interaction was limited because of this necessity. Needless to say, I couldn’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment that we didn’t get the chance to exchange gifts.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but share about Taylor’s fumble – a boneheaded move he himself later called “purely metallic.” Feeling daring, I seized the moment and extended an invitation to the Grammy winner, asking him to join me at Arrowhead Stadium to catch the Chiefs in action.

He expressed on The Pat McAfee Show that he made an invitation: “I suggested it, I tossed the challenge at her,” he said. “I told her, ‘I’ve noticed your amazing performances at Arrowhead, perhaps you should come and witness me performing there as well, so we can see who puts on a more energetic show.’ We’ll have to wait and see what transpires in the coming days.

Travis sported a mustache that he grew during training camp in August, when they were first acquainted with Taylor.
