‘Nostalgic’ escape adventure game CLASS 3, THIRD GRADE announced for PC

Developer Jacob Honda from Yamaguchi City has unveiled “CLASS 3, THIRD GRADE”, a reminiscent first-person escape adventure game set to launch on PC via Steam in March for $4.99 or 680 yen. The exact release date is yet to be disclosed. This game will offer language options in English and Japanese.

Makoto Nishizaki, the development team leader, stated in a press release that “CLASS 3, THIRD GRADE” is designed for individuals who resemble the ‘ice age generation.’ This game is crafted for people who feel a sense of dread at the thought of an end-of-day meeting. We aim to transport you back to the 80s, immersing you in the nostalgic world of elementary school children – a world that was both comforting and harsh. As you play, you’ll remember the lost chicken from the school’s animal shed after summer vacation, and the feeling of longing it evokes.

Amidst a monotonous routine devoid of excitement, the main character, who is ‘me’, finds myself often reminiscing about my childhood. These early school years, filled with vague recollections, seem so far removed that even invitations to class reunions fail to reach them.
