Rebecca Minkoff is ready for a new beginning.
The designer has confirmed that she won’t rejoin the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for the upcoming season, following her appearance as a guest star during season 15.
In her February 4th Instagram post, Rebecca expressed that 2025 signifies a fresh start for her. The ongoing global happenings serve as a stark reminder of the significance of family, friends, and community, which she now values more deeply than ever before. Over the past month, she has gained a new perspective that has led her to prioritize her four remarkable children, her devoted spouse, her long-standing business, the Female Founder Collective, her podcast, and her book.
In the course of my journey with this franchise and its dedicated fans, I feel it’s time to re-evaluate what truly matters to me: creating, making a difference, empowering women, and nurturing my family. I am deeply appreciative for the opportunity, the connections made, and the fans who have been a part of this RHONY journey in my life.
Rebecca, who is married to Gavin Bellour and has Luca (13), Bowie (10), Nico (6), and Leonardo (2) as her children, concluded by stating that it was now time for them all to move forward.
In the timeframe following the broadcast of the final segment of the RHONY reunion on Bravo, the 44-year-old chose to make an announcement.
In this episode, the relationship of the person with the Church of Scientology was closely examined. When a fan suggested she should stop promoting cults, the author of “Fearless: The New Rules for Unlocking Creativity, Courage, and Success” vigorously defended the organization from such accusations.
In her conversation with Andy Cohen, Rebecca, who shares the practice of Judaism, expressed that the term was prejudiced. She emphasized that repeatedly labeling a religion as a ‘cult’ is a form of hate speech.
During her brief stint on the popular Bravo show, the handbag designer frequently clashed with fellow cast member Brynn Whitfield, who alleged during the reunion that she was not a genuine New York City resident.
Following Rebecca’s statement that Brynn had never made an effort to understand her better, Brynn responded by explaining that it was because she relocated to Florida just a week prior to the start of season 15’s filming.
“You fly in to film with us,” she claimed. “I’ve known this from day one.”
However, Rebecca maintained it wasn’t quite that simple.
I have two homes in this area,” she retorted. “I contribute to the local tax base. Many prosperous individuals reside in more than one place, so kindly refrain from questioning my living arrangements. Are you some sort of location enforcer? It’s interesting that you’re keeping tabs on my movements!
As a newcomer who graced the show for just one season, I find myself among esteemed company such as Eboni K. Williams, Cindy Barshop, Jules Wainstein, and Barbara Kavovit – fellow cast members who also had a single season on RHONY.
