Death Stranding 2 Edges Closer to PS5 Release with New Age Rating

If reports are accurate that a State of Play livestream is happening next week, then Death Stranding 2 seems to be on track as the main attraction. Recently, a rating for the PS5 version of Death Stranding 2 was published by the South Korean board GRAC. Although an age rating doesn’t always signal that a release date is imminent (as Hollow Knight: Silksong received one in April 2024 and hasn’t been launched yet), it does hint that the game has reached a stage where it can be sent for review by external evaluators.

As a devoted gamer, I can’t hide my excitement upon learning that the upcoming PS5 sequel of this captivating adventure game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where I’ll be delivering parcels. It seems to be very much like the original, and I can’t wait! However, it’s important to note that the South Korean rating for the game includes content warnings about intense violence, explicit language, drug use, smoking, and drinking scenes. This means it’s rated “18 and up”, making it off-limits for the younger audience.

The fact that Hideo Kojima recently tweeted about editing a trailer for the first time in a year has sparked rumors that Death Stranding 2 might be unveiled during an upcoming State of Play presentation. However, it’s also possible that this trailer is for his new project with Xbox, known as OD. Given that Death Stranding 2 seems to be the game closest to release, many are speculating that the trailer could be for On the Beach, a game scheduled for release later this year.

Afterward, he posted a picture accompanying the original tweet, which showcased his distinctive tagline: “A Hideo Kojama Production.” Here’s the link to check it out: [Link]
