At least, that seems to be the position that “Teen Mom” duo Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have chosen regarding their biological daughter, Carly.

Four months following Catelynn disclosing that her phone number had been barred by Brandon Davis and Teresa Davis, the adoptive parents, Catelynn stated in an exclusive chat with TopMob News, “They have undoubtedly sealed the adoption. I’m still blocked, and they recently told me to stop sending presents as it was deemed inappropriate and unnecessary, along with a host of other issues.

Meanwhile, the duo from Michigan is not abandoning their attempt to bond with Carly, but instead, they are adopting a fresh strategy.

On the February 6th episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, the couple had a discussion with their adoption counselor named Dawn regarding being blocked by Brandon and Teresa. This situation led Dawn to take on the role of a skeptic in the conversation.

Dawn pondered, “Perhaps if their viewpoint differs from yours, they’ve requested time apart and relaxation yet it hasn’t been granted, could it be they feel there’s no other choice?” She also emphasized, “You two must acknowledge the influence you possess.

I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement when Tyler was dismissing their influence, only for Dawn to remind us all about the staggering reach we possess. With our collective 7.4 million Instagram followers, it’s clear that we carry more weight than he might think!

I will not stop sending her presents. I will persist.

However, asked Dawn, “Is it fair to put that kind of pressure on a young teenager?”

Catelynn explained further about Brandon and Teresa, “I believe they don’t grasp its implications,” she said. “I often find myself saying, ‘Haven’t you tried to imagine my situation before?’ They’ve never had the experience of giving a child away and carrying that burden throughout their lives. It just isn’t right.

Unfortunately, Dawn noted, life rarely is.

Instead of trying new strategies, she thought about simply taking a break as an option they hadn’t considered yet. Not a permanent one, but just a temporary respite. She suggested that they should take some time off for themselves. Who knows what tomorrow may bring or what the next three months will hold.

Ultimately persuaded, Catelynn agreed, “We’re going to temporarily halt things.” Tyler added, “As for me, I’ll be pausing my actions until the process begins on its own.

Though, of course, that doesn’t mean they’ll stop thinking about Carly.
