It appears that the PlayStation Network is experiencing an outage affecting many, if not all, PS5 and PS4 users at the moment.
Approximately 20 minutes ago, we began receiving reports about an outage that appears to be expanding. Based on our initial assessment, it seems to be a complete system failure as users are unable to log in, access network resources, or participate in online activities.
It’s surprising to note that the current status of the PlayStation Network, according to their official page, is fine. However, it appears something is amiss, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the page to see if it gets updated with more accurate information.
We’ll also update this story as soon as we know more.
Essentially, significant PlayStation Network (PSN) troubles have been scarcely seen for quite a while. Occasionally, minor interruptions might crop up, but Sony typically resolves these swiftly and efficiently. Here’s hoping the same smooth sailing continues in this instance.
