As a nostalgic gamer who fondly remembers my childhood, I can’t help but feel excited about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 – the modern revamp of an iconic skateboarding game series from the early 2000s. This game is like a blast from the past, and it’s hard to imagine any gamer who grew up during that era not having some connection with it.

The beauty of this game lies in its many hidden nooks and crannies waiting to be discovered across its various levels. The tasks required to unlock these secrets are surprisingly simple, making the journey all the more intriguing! This guide aims to help you unearth these secret spots like a true pro skater!

All of the Secret Areas & Easter Eggs in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4

This impressive remake boasts numerous stages, and surprisingly, unlocking them is straightforward. In our tutorial, we’ll walk you through every pertinent stage, explaining the necessary steps for each one.

The Foundry Level

In the foundry, the covert section can be swiftly accessed by circumnavigating the whole level at a brisk pace. Keep your eyes peeled to the edges of the map; you’ll notice numerous big valves expelling steam from the walls.

Just hop onto every one of these five valves to clear them up. After you’ve checked all five valves on the map (they stand out clearly, so it would be hard to miss them unless your eyes are shut), a video clip will play automatically.

In a specific area of the map, the door labeled “Generator 1 Core” swings open, unveiling a substantial spiral staircase you can climb. At the summit, you’ll find a valuable collectible waiting, which adds fresh goods to the hidden marketplace. Easy peasy!

Canada Level

At the Canada level, immediately rotate 180 degrees upon spawning, and then utilize the snowy ramp to ascend towards the log cabin located nearby. This cabin is connected to a wooden walkway, but instead of continuing along it, opt for the logs that lead into the rock face up ahead.

Towards the end, you’ll come across a small wall adorned with graffiti. You can use this as a launch pad to reach an elevated halfpipe. From there, you can continue to another halfpipe that will take you to a wooden ramp. This ramp leads upward to an old, broken railway track.

Riding on a narrow metal extension, you’ll find yourself traversing an old, damaged railway track that seems to ascend towards a tape suspended in the air, giving the illusion of it being in the sky.

Rio Level

In the electrifying city of Rio, I barely had to make an effort to uncover the hidden zone. Upon my arrival, I simply exited the skate park and ventured towards my left. At the narrow alleyway, I discovered some fragile wooden planks barricading the path.

Just power past this obstacle by skating right through it, and you’ll uncover a concealed ramp where you can perform stunts. You can grab a collection of skate decks here by simply skating up the ramp and achieving a sufficient height in the air.

Suburbia Level (Multiple Areas)

As soon as you start at the level called Suburbia, make your way to the construction site located on one side. At this location, you’ll spot an axe that’s suspended in mid-air with a vibrant green and black glow. It’s hard to overlook it due to its striking appearance.

After obtaining the axe, proceed to the section of the cul-de-sac adorned with numerous spooky decorations. Just follow the dangling ghosts and lights all the way until you arrive at the shuttered house, where a man in a suit can be found waiting for you.

Upon achieving the “Assist the Slim Character” objective, a cutscene will unfold, revealing that the slim man forces open the house, granting access to an expansive hidden region teeming with opportunities for acrobatics and stunts.

You have the option to climb through the upper-level window for access, within which lies a coffin and a suspended tape on the opposite side of the room that necessitates breaking another window. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can attempt to navigate the ramps outside to reach the roof peak of the house.

Lastly, there’s also a hidden aspect beyond the house. A door leads to what appears as a bottomless void, and jumping in through this door rewards you with an accomplishment. All you have to do is patiently wait for it to open, and then plunge headfirst into the apparent emptiness to claim your reward.

Airport Level

At the airport, immediately upon entering the map, you’ll find yourself at an x-ray baggage scanner on your right. Walking through it will guide you along a conveyor belt, ultimately helping you retrieve the passports essential for achieving the objective in this particular level.

In this location, just beyond the X-ray machine, there’s a helicopter conveniently parked. This is quite intriguing since you can leap onto its blades to set it in motion. There’s a yellow and black ramp nearby which you can utilize to reach the helicopter’s top.

After disembarking from the helicopter, the pilot will inform you that he’s about to send the helicopter soaring like a skater on its blades. Following this, it will ascend and perform this maneuver, earning you some bonus points in the process.

Skater Island Level

Upon arriving at Skater Island, exit the structure to your left and board the massive pirate vessel. Navigate through the ship’s bow, which is the protruding wooden beam at its front.

Should you leap from its peak and plunge straight into the water, you’ll notice a sign for Bikini Bottom below. After striking the water, you’ll either be shown a “Several Days Later” screen or an equivalent one, following which you’ll be transported to Bikini Bottom.

This is merely a fun nod to SpongeBob SquarePants, and I’ve set up some ramps for performing cool stunts. Jumping into the big opening further ahead will transport you right back to the main map.

Los Angeles Level

In this stage, you’ll be able to trigger a hidden seismic event by scraping along a group of red tracks positioned close to where you initially appear. Below are some places you might want to visit:

1. The red rails can be found near the starting point.
2. Another set of these rails is located in the northwestern corner of the map.
3. You may also find additional sets in the southern region of the area.
4. Lastly, there are some rails hidden in the eastern part of the level as well.

  • Quake Rail #1 – At the Books and Boards spot right in front of where you spawn in the level, there is a red rail on the left, and grinding all the way through it will activate a tremor.
  • Quake Rail #2 – Turn right immediately after getting onto the road once you are done with the previous one. You will find another red rail along the sidewalk. This is the Southern Quake Rail.
  • Quake Rail #3 – Continue to the right heading back to where you first spawned in to the level. The red rail leading back up along the road is the Northern Quake Rail. If you fail to activate it on the way up, do it again going downwards.
  • Quake Rail #4 – Finally, to the left of where you spawned in, you should see a red rail there. It sticks out from the regular black one beside it, so this is extremely easy to spot. In fact, you might have seen it as soon as you loaded in.

Once all four seismic rails have been triggered, you’ll receive a visual alert. Following this, a scene will unfold displaying a simulated earthquake damaging specific areas within the level. This creates new locations for you to discover and perform stunts at.

To get to the rooftop of the building in front, take the cable car to its left side starting from the spawn point. Once on the rooftop, you’ll find a way to the flyover damaged by the earthquake.

At this location, you can hop onto a car that appears to have crashed during the cutscene, initiating another sequence. This action serves to accomplish the objective of ending the car chase, since the damaged woman’s car will obstruct the path below.

Tokyo Level (Multiple Spots)

At the Tokyo stage, you can glide alongside a Vans advertisement that’s scrolling past, this will take you to a series of handrails and cables for you to grind on, helping you ascend higher. This route will eventually lead you to the big, circular neon sign with the chibi skater icon.

As you get closer to the glowing neon sign, an automatic sequence unfolds: some cables snap and the sign goes dark, tumbling down towards the ground beneath it. When it hits, there’s a heap of money waiting for you where the sign once stood.

On the map’s left side, there’s a hidden skate park-like area. To access it, climb up to the platform located next to the signs on the left. This platform opens onto a large opening in the side of a building. By navigating through this opening, you’ll discover a secret skate park adorned with numerous red lanterns suspended above.

Cruise Ship Level

On the deck of the cruise ship, a hidden area can be accessed by conquering the stunt challenge. To accomplish this feat, you’ll need to perform specific stunts in three distinct locations spread across the map. Fortunately, these spots are rather straightforward once you know their whereabouts. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Perform a stunt at location A.
2. Execute another stunt at location B.
3. Carry out yet another stunt at location C.

Good luck and happy exploring!

  • Stunt #1 – At the spot with hanging planters, you will find a bit of graffiti that says “Grind the 808” You will need to get on to the wires connecting the planters above by going up the ramp where the graffiti is painted on. Grind these wires until the game tells you that the stunt has been completed.
  • Stunt #2 – On the opposite side of the ships, where all the stores are, you will find graffiti that says “Manual the Shops”. As you get up the ramp, start to do a manual and keep it up until you get past the last shop. There is a ruler on the ground, which you can use as a guideline to see where the stunt starts and ends.
  • Stunt #3 – Finally, on the upper deck where you spawn in at this level, you will have to use the small pipes here to get airborne and grab the helicopter by performing a trick on it. Once you have grabbed the chopper, as the graffiti tells you to do, all stunts should now be completed.

Once you’ve completed each of the three stunts, regardless of their sequence, make your way back down and search for the towering golden medal perched on a pedestal. Glide up to the pedestal to reach the medal and set off a cutscene by touching it.

As the gold medal slips, it rolls towards the edge, shattering the glass and catapulting a person into the ocean. This incident will activate the safety nets lining the cruise ship’s side.

Alcatraz Level

At the Alcatraz stage, the hidden item is quite straightforward to discover. All you have to do is circle the map swiftly to find it. Look out for the scattered green waste containers throughout the map, then smash them by driving your character into each one.

After emptying each of the five green recycling containers, you’ll get the “Cellblock Keys” item. It’s clear that you’ll need this key to open a specific area on the map.

Make your way to the lighthouse’s courtyard and head towards the doors of the main prison. As you draw near, the game will automatically play a scene, informing you that you have successfully completed the mission of freeing the prisoner. In return, a ghostly figure will appear, granting you access to a concealed skate park adorned with several half-pipes along its length.

Waterpark Level

As a fan, I discovered an intriguing secret at the Waterpark level! You just need to snag the floating blue keys to the right of your initial spawn point, hovering above a pipe. Once you’ve secured those keys, make your way down to ground level and head towards the conspicuous arcade, which sports a noticeable sign.

As you proceed, a cinematic sequence unfolds, offering a peek into the arcade’s interior. Scattered among the game cabinets is a reasonably sized rail track that you can glide along.

Zoo Level

At last, bypass the “Royal Zoo” sign and head towards the right direction instead. Disregard any obstacles blocking the road and knock down the wooden barriers that bear warnings and ‘No Admittance’ signs on them.

Discovering this area will offer you another place to showcase more stunts. It’s quite compact, but it also contains a nearby item you might want to pick up.
