Is The Bachelorette Really On Pause? Find Out What’s Next!

The Bachelorette is taking the summer off.

Contrary to the pattern seen in the last three seasons, ABC won’t debut the 22nd season of its initial hit spinoff show “The Bachelor” mid-year. Instead, they will broadcast season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise” this summer, as TopMob News has verified.

ABC has yet to respond to the recent reports, made public on February 8, regarding a shift in scheduling. This update arrives over two weeks since the launch of season 29 of their popular show “The Bachelor,” which saw Grant Ellis as the leading man. Interestingly, Grant was also a contestant during season 21 of “The Bachelorette,” where he competed for Jenn Tran’s final rose.

Despite speculations, “The Bachelorette” hasn’t officially been scrapped yet for next year. Although it seems improbable at this point, there’s still a tiny chance that the show could make a comeback in 2025. Known for its annual airing since its premiere in 2003, save for 2006 and 2007, the series is typically produced during late winter and springtime.

The Bachelorette is taking the summer off.

Unlike the previous three seasons, ABC won’t debut the 22nd season of its initial successful spinoff show “The Bachelor” mid-year. Instead, they will broadcast “Bachelor in Paradise” season 10 this summer, as reported by TopMob News.

As of now, ABC has remained silent regarding the recent shift in scheduling, a matter that was announced by various media outlets on February 8th. This information surfaced over two weeks after the debut of season 29 of their popular series, The Bachelor, starring Grant Ellis. It is worth noting that Ellis previously vied for Jenn Tran’s final rose during season 21 of The Bachelorette.

Despite the deadline, “The Bachelorette” has yet to be officially cancelled. Though it seems uncertain, behind-the-scenes sources haven’t completely dismissed the chance of the show making a comeback as late as 2025.

The show has been broadcast annually since its premiere in 2003, with breaks only in 2006 and 2007. Historically, it’s been produced during the late winter and spring seasons.

The reality TV show titled “Bachelor in Paradise,” where past contestants from both “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” appear, was renewed for season 10 back in July. This season started airing in September 2023. In the time slot that its ninth season originally had last year, a new franchise spinoff called “The Golden Bachelorette” made its debut, featuring former contestant from “The Golden Bachelor,” Joan Vassos.

In the final episode of November, she accepted a proposal from winner Charles “Chock” Chapple. At present, they are on the lookout for a new home together.

Currently, the main character from this year’s season of The Bachelor has expressed some insights regarding the emotional impact he experiences when choosing among his initial 25 potential suitors on the show.

In every rose ceremony, I found it challenging,” Grant confided in TopMob News. “It was tough to disappoint someone, and the challenges intensified as the season unfolded.

In the end, he expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “There were difficult choices to be made, and it wasn’t solely my responsibility.

Following her early exit from Gerry Turner’s season on The Golden Bachelor, Joan Vassos went on to become the lead of the first season of The Golden Bachelorette. There, she found love with contestant Chock Chapple and accepted his proposal. In the finale of The Golden Bachelorette in November 2024, Joan expressed that despite their age, they were living proof that there’s always hope. Chock proposed to her in the stunning location of Bora Bora, saying, “I waited for this moment in this beautiful place to tell you that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. I look forward to waking up next to you and kissing you goodnight.

In the finale of season 21 of “The Bachelorette”, it seemed like former contestant Jenn Tran, aged 26, had found her perfect match in Devin Strader. However, Jenn disclosed during “After the Final Rose” in September that Devin, also 28, distanced himself from her once the cameras stopped rolling.

During the September 3rd episode, Jenn shared with host Jesse Palmer that the man she was involved with had been expressing strong declarations of affection one day, only to disappear and deny any feelings of love the next. She explained, “All the vows he made to me, all the love he claimed to have for me, seemed to vanish without a trace.

The situation escalated as Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram, not only admitting fault but also explaining the reasons behind his decision to terminate the relationship during a 15-minute conversation over the phone.

Instead of claiming that Jenn accused him of ending their relationship over the phone in August, he stated that Jenn wanted to know why things weren’t working out and he was trying to figure out how to tell her in person.

He admitted that he wasn’t sure what other option was left, adding that he had been hesitant to share the news with her directly. In essence, she made it necessary for him to act.

After that, Jenn strolled towards the stage of “Dancing With the Stars,” and there’s a possibility she found herself drawn to her dance partner, Sasha Farber. They’ve been fueling romance speculation ever since their elimination on October 29.

Last year, I found myself stepping into the sun-soaked sands of Bachelor in Paradise alongside Victoria Fuller during its eighth season. It was here, under the tropical sky, that we shared the exciting news of our budding relationship. However, fast forward to April 2024, I felt compelled to share that our journey together had come to an end.

Prior to Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo making their relationship official during the finale of Bachelor in Paradise’s 8th season, they had actually parted ways with Johnny DePhillipo, who was her former fiancé.

Status: Divorced

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist became engaged in November 2023, during the final episode of the first season of “Golden Bachelor”, and they officially married in a live-television wedding ceremony in January 2024.

However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.

During their interview on Good Morning America with Theresa in April 2024, Gerry stated, “Through many deep talks and careful consideration of our circumstances, including our living situation, we’ve reached an agreement. It appears that it may be wise for us to end our marriage amicably.

They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.

After considering 32 potential partners, tennis player Joey Graziadei found his ideal match in project manager Kelsey Anderson. “I can’t delay any longer to express my love for you,” Joey told his chosen one during the finale of his season in March 2024. “There is something unique about you. You possess an energetic charm that makes me happy. It’s a sensation I’ve never experienced before.”

Envisioning a lifetime with the woman from Louisiana, he added, “I have understood for some time that I desired to live a beautiful life, but I didn’t truly comprehend how stunning that life could be until I encountered you.

Initially disconnected during the ninth season of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, underwater welder John Henry Spurlock and nurse Kat Izzo eventually took a leap of faith. As the season progressed, he presented her with an Ascher cut Neil Lane diamond, expressing his feelings: “I’m going to try something different today. My heart tells me that you are amazing, you are everything I’ve been searching for.”

However, just after the finale aired, they announced that their paths were diverging due to differing career goals. Touched by Aaron’s gesture of seeking approval from her mother, she excitedly shared, “I couldn’t predict what words would come out of my mouth.”

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the rollercoaster romance of Kylee Russell and Aven Jones. Despite her longing for that magical proposal, Kylee reluctantly agreed to Aven’s Paradise proposition, eager to make things work.

However, fate had other plans. The dream wedding dress remained untouched as she bravely followed her heart, believing love requires taking risks. Just two days after their season finale aired in December 2023, Kylee revealed on Instagram Stories that their relationship had ended due to numerous infidelities. Aven later issued a heartfelt apology to Kylee, acknowledging his mistakes and the pain he caused her.

Charity Lawson playfully shared her satisfaction with the current season, hinting at a grand finale in August 2023. In a heartfelt moment captured by TopMob News, integrative medicine specialist Dotun Olubeko expressed his love and proposed to Charity, a child and family therapist, saying their relationship was “perfect” and asking her to make their fairy tale come true. Although they have not set a specific wedding date yet, it might be in 2025 or 2026. Before that, Charity will show off her dancing skills on Dancing With the Stars. On The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, Dotun excitedly told Charity about her upcoming appearance on Dancing With the Stars, encouraging her to dance and seize this fantastic opportunity.

As a lifestyle advisor, I can share that Zach Shallcross found his fairytale ending after navigating some challenges during the Fantasy Suite weeks. In March 2023, he got down on one knee and expressed his heartfelt love for travel nurse Kaity Biggar: “You are my world, and the feelings I have for you surpass anything I could have ever imagined.”

Fast forward to July 2023, Zach and Kaity took their relationship to a new level by moving in together. Currently, they’re busy planning their October 2025 wedding vows, eagerly looking towards their future as a couple.

Well, it seems Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who found themselves in a potential couple goal status despite their heartbreaking pasts, were no longer together. Even though Danielle moved from Nashville to be with Michael in Ohio, they eventually parted ways. In a podcast episode of Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” that aired in September 2023, Michael confirmed the split. He expressed his disappointment, saying, “We invested a lot into this relationship, and it’s heartbreaking when it doesn’t work out. When things don’t work out, when you realize that love is there but compatibility is lacking, you grieve not just for the loss of the person and friendship in your life, but also for the future you once imagined together.

Brandon Jones publicly declared his eternal love for Serene Russell during their appearance on season seven of ‘Paradise’. In summary: The story unfolds as Susie Evans initially turned down Clayton Echard during the 2022 Bachelor finale, but they later reconciled off-camera. However, their relationship didn’t last long as they split six months after their reunion. But Susie, a video producer based in L.A., maintains that the breakup was necessary, explaining in her November 2022 blog post titled “Susie Was Like,” that she had lost her sparkle and wasn’t thriving. Despite having many joyful moments together, she felt internally conflicted and out of sync with her true self.

After dating Justin Glaze, a participant from Bachelor Nation, Susie later disclosed that their relationship had ended by August 2024.

Current Situation: Separated

Minnesota elementary school teacher Michelle received a Neil Lane sparkler from Texas-based sales executive Nayte Olukoya, along with a $200,000 check from producers to help fund their future home. However, the couple did not have a strong connection and announced their breakup six months after their season finale aired in December 2021.

On The Viall Files, Nayte admitted that there were many highs and lows, frequent arguments, and disagreements between him and Michelle, explaining that they didn’t really see eye-to-eye or click well together. Despite this, he acknowledged that not having a face-to-face conversation to formally end their relationship was an unkind move.

After the split, Michelle started dating Jack Leius in 2023 and announced their engagement the following year.

The pair Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian, who shared a vision of idyllic Sunday mornings during BIP season seven, found themselves parting ways after a brief period together. On the sixth season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” the show’s first same-sex pair became engaged, but they announced their separation in October 2019, which coincided with Halloween.

In their shared statement on Instagram, they expressed that love and concern for each other have always been central to their relationship. Their main focus has been making decisions that are beneficial for both of them. With hearts heavy with mutual love, they’ve made the difficult choice to step away from their relationship for now. What they truly desire is what is best for them in the long term, and at this point in time, that means growing separately as individuals.

Current Status: Engaged
Paradise lost? Not entirely. Despite breaking up during the seventh season of BIP, Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer found that they could see an enduring love in each other’s eyes. Initially settling in San Diego, the travel nurse (who vied for Tayshia’s affection) and the financial manager (who received Matt James’ first impression rose) have recently purchased a home in his hometown of Tulsa.

“Preparing to enter our Chip and Joanna Gaines era since your girl bought her very first house!!!” Abigail shared on Instagram in July 2023. “Looking forward to starting our next chapter and the memories we’ll create here!!” Their upcoming plans include a few wedding details. Prior to their relocation, Noah proposed at a beachfront San Diego home in August 2023.

In simpler terms, Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, both reality TV stars, decided to have a trial run of their wedding by getting legally married at City Hall in New York City, about a year after leaving the show “Bachelor in Paradise” engaged. They will still be having a formal wedding in September 2023. Serena shared a video from this small ceremony on her podcast “Bachelor Happy Hour” in October 2022, captioning it, “JUST MARRIED!! We are still having a big wedding next year, but who wouldn’t want to get married twice?

Their nuptials took place in a picturesque oceanfront ceremony attended by 65 guests in Puerto Rico in November 2023. Prior to the wedding, they made a symbolic gesture of their eternal love, getting matching tattoos during a vacation in the Bahamas in May 2023.

Later in October, Thomas reciprocated the gesture. In September 2023, they welcomed their first child, a son named Benson. On Instagram, Becca wrote, “Words cannot express the love and admiration we have for this little boy.”

Just a few weeks after bringing Benson home, the couple decided to tie the knot in an impromptu October 13 ceremony.

In the final episode of “The Bachelorette” season 17 in 2021, Katie became engaged to Blake Moynes. Their affection for each other was first expressed during their overnight date, which included a paintball adventure, a cowboy bath, and a chat under the night sky.

Bending down on a knee, Blake expressed to Katie, “You’re worthy of the entire universe, and I can’t wait to stand by your side and offer my support each day from now on.

Three months following the broadcast of their proposal, the pair revealed their separation. In identical statements, they expressed thanks for the precious moments they experienced together and the entire experience of the past year. However, they acknowledged that as individuals, they are not well-suited to be life partners. They concluded that it was the kindest decision for both of them to advance separately.

Now, she is set to marry comedian Jeff Arcuri.

Current Status: Separated

Since Matt and graphic designer Rachael Kirkconnell parted ways during his 2021 season (followed by a brief reconciliation), they’ve been subject to numerous separation rumors. TopMob News exclusively reported Matt’s thoughts on the matter at a Baskin-Robbins event on July 18, 2022: “I think everyone should take a break from social media. Our lives are so intertwined with our phones that when someone isn’t constantly online, it seems like the end of the world.”

Despite this, Matt expressed in May 2022 that marriage was still their ultimate goal. He told TopMob News, “I think the good thing about our relationship is we move at our own pace… We’ve seen with other couples—they rush the engagement and they’re not together anymore. So, I think what we have is a successful recipe, and we’ll get there.”

However, less than three years later, Matt confirmed their separation via an Instagram post on January 16, 2025: “Father God, give Rachael and me strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us peace about this decision to end our relationship that surpasses worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our joy comes from you, Lord.

Following her replacement for Clare Crawley in the 2020 edition of The Bachelorette, Tayshia became smitten with Zac Clark during the show. Even though they ended her season as an engaged couple, it was later disclosed by the ex-Bachelorette and co-host that their relationship encountered a few bumps along the way.

In a new relationship, it can be challenging when you have to step away for a couple of weeks. I’m speaking honestly here, that’s just the truth. She expressed this sentiment on the The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous podcast in August 2021.

Reflecting on our past, I realized that we needed a reminder of what initially brought us together. To me, that’s completely natural and understandable. However, as reported by TopMob News in November 2021, it seems we’ve parted ways now.

Status: Split

During season 16 of “The Bachelorette,” Clare became deeply smitten with Dale Moss. So much so, that by the fourth episode, they were engaged. However, the surprises didn’t end there. Weeks after Clare was replaced by Tayshia, Dale announced on social media that his relationship with the hairdresser had already ended.

A month later, speculation about reconciliation arose when they were seen together again. Jump ahead to July 2021 – after numerous meetings – Clare and Dale were reunited completely, even with a ring on her finger. However, in September of the same year, they ended their relationship once more. Now, Clare is blissfully married to Ryan Dawkins, and they’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child together.

Following a short engagement with Hannah Ann Sluss and later a split from Madison Prewett, fans had high hopes for Peter’s third chance at love. Unfortunately, his relationship with Kelley Flanagan, who stood out in The Bachelor season 24, didn’t last, as he announced on New Year’s Eve 2020 that their nine-month romance had ended.

Though our bond was rich with many cherished moments, unfortunately, it didn’t succeed in the long run,” Pete shared on Instagram. “Kelly will forever hold a unique place in my heart.

In 2022, they tried to fly again, but it was made public in May that their relationship had come to an end.

Status: Split

After the emotional ending in 2020, the pair shared on Instagram that they wouldn’t be continuing their relationship. Peter put it this way: “Madi and I have decided, after much discussion, not to move forward with our romance anymore. This wasn’t an easy decision for either of us, but after heartfelt conversations, we came to the conclusion that this is what’s best for both of us. My feelings for Madi will remain strong.

In my professional opinion, let me share this sentiment: My heart will forever hold affection and reverence for him. I am unwaveringly confident that our lives intertwining was not a mere coincidence, but rather destiny at work, enriching us in ways we may not fully comprehend yet.

Status: Split

During The Bachelor’s season 24, I found myself engaged with Hannah Ann. However, as the finale unfolded in its second part, it became evident that our relationship faced challenges a mere month into our exclusive phase. To be more precise, the news of Peter’s persistent feelings for Madison took Hannah Ann by surprise, leaving us grappling with the complexities of our bond.

She said, “I’ve always just wanted someone to fully commit their love as I am doing to them. And you ended our first engagement,” she lamented, returning the ring. “You took that away from us. That’s what I’ve been asking of you – patience and faith. Trusting you was my choice.

Currently, their status is “Married”. After their adventurous #vanlife period, Dean Unglert (one of Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s finalists) and Caelynn Miller-Keyes, who had a romantic connection with Colton Underwood, parted ways during season six of Paradise in 2019. However, since then, they have been inseparable.

In 2022, they got engaged and exchanged vows at a camp-themed wedding in the Colorado mountains on September 23. Caelynn expressed her joy to TopMob News before the ceremony, saying, “I just love him so much. I’m so excited to be marrying someone who’s such a good person, who makes me laugh every day, even on tough days. I believe our life together is going to be really fun.
