Following a 24-hour interruption, PlayStation Network (PSN) has been successfully brought back up to regular function on both PS4 and PS5 systems. The recent PSN downtime marks the second longest period of service disruption experienced by PlayStation since its inception. From 7:00 PM ET on February 7 to 8:00 PM ET on February 8, PSN was unavailable globally, not only in the United States but worldwide. As a result, online games for both the PS4 and PS5 were inoperable, and users could not purchase or download new games from the PlayStation Store during this time. Furthermore, additional online features such as cloud saves and messaging were temporarily unavailable.
