`Line of Duty Season 7 in the Works?`

Actress Christina Chong hinted that they are currently verifying the schedules of the cast for a possible Season 7 filming in the coming year on Line of Duty.

In the BBC’s popular crime series, an actor regularly portrays DI Nicola Rogerson, a character who was introduced as DI Steve Arnott’s (Martin Compston) flame during the show’s second season.

In the year 2021, Chong made his comeback for the sixth (latest) installment of Line of Duty. It was disclosed during this series that Rogerson had maintained contact with Arnott, and was contemplating a shift away from AC-12 as part of his future plans.

Last time they discussed it, Rogerson paused his transfer application based on his own request. Arnott believes there may still be more he can contribute to the fight against corruption.

If Rogerson might feature in any prospective future plotlines, it might hint at a shift in his feelings, as actor Chong mentioned during the Saturn Awards that inquiries have been made regarding a potential seventh season.

She indicated through MailOnline that when asked about the number of seasons, she replied affirmatively when asked if it’s seven. Additionally, there’s a possibility that Nicola Rogerson might return for season 7.

In simpler terms, the actor didn’t reveal much beyond what was said, but her statements echo a recent interview with her co-star Compston. He shared with The Times that the Line of Duty cast are all busy this year, yet he expressed his desire to wear Arnott’s distinctive waistcoat again soon.

If Jed has a tale he wishes to share, he’ll approach us. Rest assured, as soon as we have any updates, we’ll pass them along. However, for the moment, we don’t have anything new to report.

At the Saturn Awards, Chong was present, representing the Star Trek family since she plays La’an Noonien-Singh in the ongoing series Strange New Worlds, a spin-off show.

Back in 2024, this captivating series made quite an impression at the awards, and I’ve got no doubts that it’ll be battling for even more recognition as it graces our screens once again with Season 3.
