Kendrick Lamar Brings Out Drake’s Ex Serena Williams For Halftime Show

Serena Williams was serving smooth moves at the 2025 Super Bowl.

In a groundbreaking moment, I found myself standing where Kendrick Lamar did as the first solo hip-hop artist to headline the iconic halftime show. During my performance of “Not Like Us” at the Caesars Superdome, Louisiana on February 9th, I astonished viewers by shining a light on a remarkable figure – a 23-time Grand Slam champion.

During his performance, the rapper known as “Humble” played a diss track directed at Drake, one of several tracks in their ongoing dispute. At the same time, Serena displayed her dancing skills wearing a blue tennis skirt and coordinating top.

The athlete, who was rumored to have dated the founder of OVO in 2015, couldn’t help but express enthusiasm after appearing in the performance alongside SZA and Samuel L. Jackson.

I can hardly contain my excitement! Heading to the Super Bowl Halftime show, and I simply can’t wait! Just shared a sneak peek on [X], my go-to platform for all things trending. The anticipation is killing me!

The person, aged 43, expressed their fondness for the song during the Essence Festival in July, saying, “I adore that tune; it feels like the anthem of summer. Whenever it gets played, I can’t help but groove to it, and let me tell you, that track is really bringing the energy.

She also jokingly commented on the heated dispute between Kendrick and Drake, a conflict that has grown so intense it’s resulted in a legal action by Drake, known as the “God’s Plan” artist, against Universal Music Group.

At this year’s ESPY Awards, she stated, echoing her sentiments days after Essence, ‘None of us, no one, not even me, should ever challenge Kendrick Lamar in a dispute.’ She added, referring to an incident involving Drake and the Toronto Raptors, ‘If Drake ever sits courtside at a Raptors game again, they might treat him like Forrest Gump, leaving his seat empty.’
