`Jodie Turner-Smith Sues Joshua Jackson for Sole Custody`

Jodie Turner-Smith is taking legal action.

Approximately two months after the actress from “Queen and Slim” alleged that her ex-partner, Joshua Jackson, was not providing enough child support for their 4-year-old daughter Juno, she has submitted a court petition asking for her child support requests to be honored. She also accused him of attempting to gain sole custody over their daughter.

According to documents obtained by TopMob News on February 3rd, Jodie alleges that Joshua hasn’t paid any court-ordered child or spousal support since their separation in 2023. Furthermore, she states that despite hiring two law firms to handle custody matters and striving for full legal custody of Juno, he did not provide financial support as required by the court initially.

38-year-old woman (previously married to Joshua from 2019 to 2023, and welcomed a child named Juno in 2020) stated that she has made every effort to find common ground with him regarding their disagreements, but unfortunately, these efforts have not been reciprocated.

In her filing, Jodie stated that it’s obvious Josh is not open to discussing fair temporary alimony and child support. Since I have no other options, I must ask the court for its help and submit this motion.

Jodie is asking for $8,543 in child support every month, along with $28,641 for spousal support. Additionally, she wants the man, who is 46 years old, to pay her a total of $250,000 as retroactive fees related to their ongoing legal dispute. The actress from “The Agency” has put forward these demands.

And Jodie went on to explain why she believes she deserves the payments from Josh.

According to what was stated elsewhere, Jodie claimed that during our marriage, I took on the main responsibility for taking care of Juno while Josh focused on progressing in his acting career. It’s worth noting that Josh has been a successful actor for over three decades, whereas I am younger and still working towards building my own acting career. During our marriage, Josh usually earned more than me, sometimes even a lot more.

Jodie’s filing comes after her initial request for the same monetary demands in December.

In the document, Jodie stated that Josh had guaranteed to stand by her at all times and made it clear that their daughter’s financial stability would never be a concern if they parted ways. He allegedly expressed this assurance because he acknowledged the challenges of being a Black woman and a single mother, understanding how difficult life can be in these circumstances.
