In the Super Bowl commercial for “Jurassic World: Rebirth”, we witnessed a chilling scene set on a deserted Isla Nublar, where tanks containing dinosaur specimens, including a two-headed velociraptor, were shown in some sort of suspended animation. This intriguing sight has sparked excitement and speculation among fans, who are trying to piece together the implications. The dual-headed dinosaur could merely serve as an attention-grabbing moment with no further significance, but it might also function as a formidable adversary if it were to awaken and escape. Some viewers have even pondered whether it could be the creature making clicking sounds in the ad’s audio, which is also heard in the full trailer.
Last week, the online debut of the trailer for Rebirth introduced us to the new characters embarking on their mission, as well as some intriguing footage like dinosaurs in tanks. Although the Super Bowl advertisement is shorter, it effectively highlighted certain scenes, such as the suspenseful exchange between Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) and an unidentified character, David Iacono, while they both gaze at a potential danger with tense anticipation.
Iacono requests that they shouldn’t be referred to as raptors, but Bailey, with growing apprehension, insists, “They are indeed raptors.” The scene is punctuated by a shot of clawed feet crunching through shallow water, suggesting they are being pursued.
As a movie enthusiast, I’ve always found Velociraptors to be the main antagonists in those blockbuster dinosaur films. Introducing a two-headed version of this ferocious predator would certainly add an exciting twist! The Jurassic World movies have already shown us the limitless possibilities of genetic manipulation, so it’s not hard to imagine that somewhere along the line, they might have created such a monster. After all, we know those scientists on the islands were always trying to outdo themselves by creating bigger and more spectacular dinosaurs, right? And with their relentless pursuit of perfection, I can only imagine there must have been some unintended mistakes in their genetic experiments.
In its current state, it’s clear that this team faces threats from every direction, especially from the skies and seas. To keep things interesting, introducing more dinosaurs appears to be the ideal approach for this sequel. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom suggested a global takeover by dinosaurs, but Dominion told us that these creatures could only thrive in specific environments. By the time of Rebirth, they’re essentially confined to the original cloning islands.
The upcoming movie titled “Jurassic World: Reborn” will be released in theaters this coming July, however, the specific release date is still undisclosed. To catch up on all the previous six films within this series as they currently stand, click here for streaming details.
