Koei Tecmo Holdings appoints Hisashi Koinuma as president and CEO

Starting from April 1, 2025, Hisashi Koinuma, who is currently the representative director and executive vice president of Koei Tecmo Holdings, will take over as both company president and CEO, replacing Yoichi Erikawa in these positions, according to an announcement made by Koei Tecmo.

In April 1994, Koinuma began working for the company, having held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Koei Tecmo Games prior to that.

In response to new leadership, Koei Tecmo is reorganizing its company structure to distinguish between the day-to-day operations and the oversight provided by management.

Yoichi Erikawa, one of the founders of Koei and also known as Kou Shibusawa, is set to assume the roles of Representative Director and Chairman at Koei Tecmo Holdings. His wife Keiko Erikawa, another co-founder, will shift from her positions as Representative Director and Chairman to Director and Chairman Emeritus. Additionally, she will become Representative Director and President of a new subsidiary, Koei Tecmo Corporate Finance, which is due to be established on April 1st.

Koei Tecmo’s Financial Division is set to assume control over the investment aspects of Koei Tecmo Games, achieving this through a merger-style corporate restructuring. This strategic action aims to enhance investment governance and optimize financial management throughout the entire organization.
