Initially announced for development in 2021, “Dragon Quest 12: The Flames of Fate” has seen minimal updates since then, causing some worry among series enthusiasts. However, director and co-creator Yuji Horii has reassured fans that the anticipated RPG is still under active development.
During a recent live broadcast, Horii confirmed that Square Enix is diligently working on “Dragon Quest 12”. He expressed their intention to share small updates about the game gradually over time. (Source: Automaton Media)
Last year in April, it was announced that lead producer Yu Miyake had resigned from his position, and there had been secretive delays in the production of Dragon Quest 12. Shortly following this, Horii expressed regret for the scarcity of updates regarding the game’s progress.
Later on in the current year, Square Enix plans to unveil the High-Definition 2D Remake of both Dragon Quest 1 and 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers.
