Good Omens season 3 set pictures confirm crucial character’s return

**Warning: This article contains potential spoilers for Good Omens season 3.**

As the last part of Good Omens is currently being filmed, the cast has been seen shooting scenes on location. Once again, David Tennant and Michael Sheen are portraying their roles as Crowley and Aziraphale.

Yet, it’s not just them; keen observers have noticed another familiar face from the cast, Sir Derek Jacobi, apparently shooting scenes in Edinburgh.

Previously, Jacobi portrayed The Metatron, who served as the Voice of God, across episodes from both the initial and subsequent seasons of the series.

It’s not unexpected for fans that he’s returned – at the end of season 2, The Metatron assumed a significant position by persuading Crowley to replace Gabriel as the Supreme Archangel.

Previously, Tennant hinted that the romantic storyline between the two characters might continue, suggesting a possible development in their relationship.

Regarding additional cast members joining us again, it’s worth noting that Doon Mackichan, portraying Archangel Michael, has confirmed her return – expressing earlier that she would be returning to our beloved city to shoot Good Omens in January.

In a departure from the usual structure, Season 3 will consist of a single extended episode lasting approximately 90 minutes. Prior to the announcement of this abbreviated season, Sheen expressed his hope that the unique viewing experience it promises would prove gratifying for all involved.

Speaking with TV Insider last summer, he noted one remarkable aspect of working on [Good Omens]: the devoted fanbase. It’s crucial to treat this passionately-followed series with great care because the impact it has on viewers can be significant.

“Seeing how people reacted to the end of season 2 was extraordinary.”
