`Lachey Power Couple Reveals Secret to 14-Year Marriage`

Vanessa Lachey and Nick Lachey make sure they keep it steamy in their pods.

After 14 years of being married, the hosts of “Love is Blind” acknowledge that they’re at a stage in their relationship where they need to consciously create intimate moments to keep their romantic spark alive.

In a joint interview with Nick, published on February 11 by Brides, Vanessa shared that he found it unusual when she proposed scheduling a ‘sex day’. However, they agreed upon designating Wednesdays as their special day, affectionately known as ‘hump day.’

As Nick added of their weekly arrangement, “Happy hump day and calendar dump day.”

Indeed, there’s more than just one factor contributing to their marriage’s enduring strength over a decade. They, being parents to Camden (12), Brooklyn (10), and Phoenix (8), emphasize that keeping their professional and personal lives distinct is another crucial aspect.

Vanessa expressed, “I’d prefer our moments together to be more about bonding and closeness instead of managing tasks, but it seems that’s just the reality of our lives. I believe we’re entering an era where we need designated days for handling chores.

Over the past almost two decades, their relationship hasn’t been without its highs and lows. Yet, the artist who sings “I do” – having started dating Vanessa in 2006 following his divorce from Jessica Simpson – revealed the key to their enduring partnership.

Speaking as an ardent enthusiast, I wholeheartedly echo those words: “Anything truly valuable demands effort.” This sentiment, to me, serves as the bedrock of existence, and it applies equally to the institution of marriage. There’s nothing to be ashamed of in recognizing this truth.

Vanessa, 44, meanwhile, isn’t afraid to take a page out of the Love Is Blind book.

In her interview with TopMob News, she expressed, “My instinctive response is communication.” She admitted it might sound overused, but she believes this is the reason why Love Is Blind, a popular dating reality show, is so successful. They begin by emphasizing communication.
