Channel 4 has revealed plans for a fresh six-episode series called “Pierre,” featuring David Harewood in the role of a London legal representative working tirelessly to expose a vast network of corrupt institutions.
The show is originated by authors Roy Williams, known for “Soon Gone: The Windrush Chronicles,” and John Donnelly, recognized for “Utopia.” This series is often characterized as a modern-day courtroom drama.
The summary for the show goes like this: “Pierre, a duty solicitor based in West London, is a whirlwind – he’s charismatic and witty, standing out amidst an otherwise unglamorous profession. He deftly navigates the stresses of his work, his complex personal life, and the constant struggle to stay financially afloat.

I’m thrilled beyond words to step into the lead role of Pierre! This character, skillfully created by Roy and John, is a masterpiece, so richly detailed. I can hardly wait to slip into his shoes and bring him to life on screen.
He’s intelligent, imperfect, and deeply committed to his job. I truly hope that readers will find him as captivating as I do in writing.
In addition, Donnelly and Williams stated: “Duty lawyers are the unrecognized champions within the legal field. Often overwhelmed and undercompensated, they are always on call, never knowing what or whom they’ll encounter next. They have countless tales – it’s exciting to hear them.
Recently, Harewood has appeared on Paramount Plus in their suspenseful series titled The Agency. Additionally, you might recognize him from the second season of Sherwood that aired on BBC One.
