At The Game Awards in December, Sega revealed Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, offering a short preview through a trailer. It’s likely that we’ll soon get a longer glimpse of this arcade racing game.
Sony has scheduled a State of Play presentation lasting more than 40 minutes for February 12, and it’s possible that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds may make an appearance during this broadcast. Shortly after the event was announced, Sonic Team producer Joel Youkhanna tweeted, “Looks like there’s a new State of Play. Can’t help but smile.
Following the tweet’s removal, fan excitement reached new heights, implying that more information about Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds might be revealed soon. Given Sega’s light short-term release schedule post a jam-packed 2024, there is strong anticipation for an official announcement regarding the game’s release date or timeframe.
(Note: The term “kicking speculation into overdrive” can be replaced with “igniting fan excitement,” as it conveys the same idea in a more natural and easy-to-read manner.)
The game ‘Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ is currently being worked on for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers (PC).
