Jennifer Tilly Reveals Heartwarming Truth About Her Lasting Love with Late Ex-Husband

Jennifer Tilly‘s bond with her late ex-husband Sam Simon was stronger than a diamond.

Indeed, a cast member from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills revealed heartfelt details about the growth and endurance of her friendship with the co-creator of The Simpsons, which began anew following their separation in 1991.

Ever since our divorce, I found myself inexplicably drawn closer to him, much like old friends reunited. For three decades, he had been more than just a husband; he was my confidant, my partner-in-crime. It felt odd at first, but once the constraints of marriage were lifted and I was no longer bound by its expectations, it seemed as though our bond was freed to flourish. We found ourselves in a place where we could be together simply because we wanted to be.

Fiona Dourif, who starred in the “Chucky” series, served as Simon Templeman’s caregiver during the final stages of his life. Tragically, he lost his battle with cancer in 2015.

The Oscar-nominated individual admitted that although they knew their partner loved them, they couldn’t recall him expressing his feelings explicitly until he fell ill. However, during the final years of his life when they were caring for him, he often told them he loved them, which was very touching. They suspect he may have said it during their marriage too, but can’t remember.

And Tilly continues to feel Simon’s love even years after his death.

Previously disclosed, the TV producer and animator generously provided her with a substantial amount in their divorce settlement.

In a recent episode of Bravo’s series, a 66-year-old individual revealed, “For seven years we were legally married, but our relationship spanned approximately ten years. Following our divorce, an intriguing aspect of ‘The Simpsons’ was included in the settlement – a fact unknown to many at the time, as it turned out that this iconic series would continue for countless eons.

In a reference to the continuous royalties, Tilly expressed, “Every single day, I can’t help but think, ‘Thanks, Sam!’

Even though I’m fortunate enough to own four residences, including one in vibrant Las Vegas, a beachfront home in picturesque Malibu, and two adjacent homes in the exclusive Bel-Air area, I continue to maintain a humble demeanor.

She admitted to TopMob News in January that she doesn’t consider herself wealthy, yet she might be mistaken given her ownership of multiple properties and a designer handbag worth $33,000. She assumed everyone was aware of her small investment in ‘The Simpsons’, though she acknowledged it may not seem like much, but for her, it’s certainly something to boast about.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

And keep reading for TopMob’s definitive ranking over every Housewife ever.

Bravo’s unsuccessful endeavor to showcase our country’s capital introduced four women, so unremarkable that it would be understandable if you forgot them—their names being Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner. There was also one woman so eager for the spotlight that she barged into a White House party. We’ll delve deeper into her story later on.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

Utah’s second-season Housewife, Jennie, ended her tenure in a less than favorable manner. In January 2022, she was dismissed following the reemergence of controversial and racially insensitive Facebook posts from the past. Afterward, Jennie issued an apology, but the harm had already been inflicted.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

During season 16, the doctor from Orange County wasn’t a fountain of drama. Her marital issues with her perpetually shirtless husband, whom we might know as Ryne or perhaps Ryan, were rather uneventful. However, who could forget Dr. Jen’s unforgettable episode when she got quite tipsy on wine at the Dubrows’ incredibly awkward-yet-entertaining dinner party?

The initial period of work for the nurse anesthetist could be succinctly described using a term that we all hope is never uttered again, due to its discomforting nature: The ‘Esophagus Incident’.

Katie often discussed her charitable activities, yet didn’t showcase much else on the screen. She was more like a single appearance, barely contributing to the cast dynamics. Cutting the cast trip short? Not something a ‘Housewife’ would do.

During the two seasons she spent as a main cast member, Charrisse’s marital issues were quite prominent, making them a notable aspect of her time on the show, along with her champagne room.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

As a devoted follower, I must admit it was refreshing to witness a touch of diversity in the previously all-white O.C., but unfortunately, Peggy turned out to be quite the headache during season 12. The squabbles she picked were downright peculiar, frequently revolving around someone using a term she failed to grasp, and her decision to lock herself away in her room for an entire day during our Iceland adventure solidified my belief that she wasn’t truly equipped for this Real Housewives journey.

During her debut season, instead of developing a connection with her Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo, Nneka’s storyline primarily revolved around an alleged accusation that she made towards Wendy’s mother, claiming she was a witch (indeed, quite extraordinary). It would have been delightful to witness the two women bridging over their shared cultural background instead of engaging in conflicts without reaching any resolution.

In the 16th season, Noella whirled around like an energetic whirlwind. Despite her personal hardships (her husband James departed the country and requested a divorce just prior to filming), she managed to avoid being at the bottom due to her ongoing turmoil with Heather Dubrow, the queen bee. With additional time and another season, we might grow fonder of Noella Bergener.

This housewife started off as a peacemaker during her debut season, but by her second (and final) season, she was continuously complaining about a cake being tossed at her and making allegations of anti-Semitism that lacked evidence – it’s hard to recall a more rapid descent from grace among the Real Housewives.

Everything that Amber and her spouse, Jim, undertook appeared extremely desperate. Additionally, it was evident that Jim played a larger role in the unfolding events compared to Amber. It wasn’t a flattering image.

What stands out about Karen is primarily her profession as a dentist, and it appears none of her colleagues held a particularly fond affection for her. Moving on!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Among the relatively short-lived cast members on RHONY, Jules didn’t stay long enough to earn a top spot. Nevertheless, she certainly provided plenty of excitement and drama during her time there.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina embodied a multi-faceted, accomplished Arab woman who seamlessly integrated contemporary living with age-old cultural customs. She managed to steer clear of the majority of season one’s drama and at times found herself overshadowed by her co-stars’ more prominent, boisterous personas.

Taleen proved to be an excellent fit for the second season of RHODubai, and we’re eager to learn even more about her.

In seasons 11 and 12 of “America’s Next Top Model”, the veteran contestant selected a peach, but failed to leave a lasting impact on the realm of “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, apart from being pregnant for much of her term. However, she did earn kudos for her brilliant diss of Marlo Hampton during their time in Tokyo.

As a rule, we often require multiple seasons to rank a new Housewife higher. However, Katie made quite an entrance during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against veteran Housewife Heather Dubrow right from the start. It takes quite a bit of courage to challenge someone as high-profile as Ms. Fancypants.

I must admit, Sara’s consistently optimistic and insightful perspective was refreshing, but it rarely stirred up much dramatic flair (except for the occasion when she gave Caroline Brooks some unsolicited parenting advice, which wasn’t too well received). Yet, as a tech entrepreneur, she boldly defied expectations about what it means to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East. For this trailblazing act, I wholeheartedly salute her.

The newcomers to RHONJ‘s season 13 embody the stereotypical Jersey Housewife and soon engaged in a lengthy, seemingly insignificant dispute that Andy Cohen labeled as unnecessary during the reunion. Unfortunately, these former friends didn’t add much depth during season 14.

In the initial season, Larsa didn’t leave a strong impact before departing the show. When the revival of RHOM took place for season four in 2021, her narrative primarily revolved around her past friendship with Kim Kardashian and her involvement with selling foot photos on OnlyFans (…).

After gracing our screens as a Bravolebrity for a spell, I found myself stepping into the culinary arena as a contestant on Season 12 of “Next Food Network Star” in 2016. Unfortunately, that title eluded me as well.

I’ve been utterly disheartened to see how Brandi Glanville used her as a verbal target, treating her unfairly. Moreover, her opening statement glorifying the unhealthy concept of being overly thin left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.
