Despite seemingly insurmountable competition, the Elbaf Arc in One Piece is holding its own against the Egghead Arc in terms of surprises and thrills, and a recent twist could potentially unravel a major enigma surrounding the Ancient Weapon Uranus. The latest Elbaf mural is brimming with hidden clues and intriguing tidbits that, when combined with the Harley texts about the three worlds, offer numerous interpretations to shed light on many of One Piece’s biggest mysteries. One such detail in the mural might have just unveiled Uranus’ true objective, an unexpected revelation for fans.
One fascinating enigma about the ancient weapon known as Uranus lies in the massive crater it creates upon deployment. This perplexing occurrence was initially spotted in Chapter 1089 following Lulusia’s destruction at the hands of Imu and the World Government, with Vegapunk’s subsequent revelation confirming that the weapon employed on Lulusia was none other than Uranus. This has sparked intriguing conjectures regarding a comparable hole in the sea at Enies Lobby, leaving many to ponder whether it too is a byproduct of using Uranus. Furthermore, hints within the Elbaf mural suggest that this colossal void could be integral to Uranus’ intended function. The deep pit might serve as a mechanism for tapping into the “fire beneath the earth,” as referenced in the Harley texts.
One Piece’s Ancient Weapon Uranus May Have A Secret Second Purpose
In the “Adam on the Jewel Tree” mosaic unveiled in Chapter 1138, some believe the portion representing the First World shows individuals, possibly slaves as suggested by the Harley heading, being transported into the earth using a system resembling a conveyor belt to gather an unknown substance – potentially the fire mentioned in the First World descriptions of the Harley texts, which is said to be located “within the earth”. This could explain what the figures in the mural are collecting.
On either side, the shading gives the impression that this section of the mural represents either a mine or an offshore rig, given the presence of a large vessel on the left side reminiscent of Noah’s Ark. Above, there’s also a depiction of a flying ship resembling Enel’s Maxim discharging lightning bolts, hinting that this airship might be the same ancient weapon, Uranus, which was used to attack Lulusia with beams of light in Chapter 1060.
If indeed, the ancient weapon known as Uranus was deployed in the past, it could have been utilized not for mass destruction but rather for digging deep holes with the intention of mining this “fire.” This underground fire might have been the enigmatic power source from the Void Century that even Vegapunk failed to replicate. The misuse of this weapon, as Vegapunk warned in his broadcast, could have resulted in the near-total submersion of the world of One Piece during the Void Century. It is also plausible that such a catastrophe was not the first time the world of One Piece approached annihilation due to uncontrolled technological growth.
In my fervor for boundless energy, I can’t help but wonder if this relentless pursuit, despite the environmental costs, might hold the key to understanding why our world met its tragic end during the First World. The towering structures billowing smoke in the First World section of the mural seem to echo this theory, and it’s ironic that this could potentially lead back to Vegapunk’s vision of an endless energy source capable of resolving global conflicts. As we now find ourselves waiting for the power plant and Mother Flame under the control of the World Government, it won’t be long before we witness Uranus once more, and perhaps then we’ll unravel all the secrets that have confounded us.
